He provided cert and invoice from 29 years ago. How to prove nothing happened in the intervening years just that he never reveal this online?
Prove what? Oh so you mean bought a watch 30 years ago means you must prove it is authentic yourself?

Like put CCTV on it for 30 years?

Is that a joke or what?

Customization of Rolex is a big thing back then. Even reputable goldsmith shops also do. The big caveat is Rolex of coz will not service such franken watch. Guessing there is a misunderstanding on buyer’s end.

OG becomes a big thing only post 2000 as luxury watches become collectibles, pple start to value full paper/ full set/ non-polished, blah blah blah

No. He need to prove he never sent to unauthorised workshops or anywhere else where the parts might have been replaced for fakes.

Example. The decoration got a serial number or some unique identifier from HG. He bring to Rolex and they say it’s fake. Then he has a case. Or there is a seal that is unbroken. But he said it’s external decorative parts so hard to say if it’s added in later on.

where is the picture of the watch?
y keep on say 10 years... its almost 30 years
Why? Because watch needed repair 10 + years after purchased date and yes too, the watch is now near 30 years old. Hope I helped clear up this small maths enigma for all.

Again not correct here cos this was TS title

Hour Glass Singapore sold me fake Rolex accessories on the Rolex watch I bought for my wife as a souvenir.

If he had said Rolex didn’t recognise customisations even from reputable shops, then I think he has a point. The above is an accusation of selling fake goods

Nobody knows the full details except TS.

With the invoice and the cert issued by the company, the least they can do is to at least pick up the complaint and work with TS to resolve it. Whether he did anything to the watch or not, a conversation will be able to find out.

However it sounds like the company instead choose to washed their hands off it? Like that you dare to buy expensive things from that company?

TS can show us the original reference number so we check the original look of the watch and compare to his current watch. Then we know whether he telling the truth. He only contesting the exterior of the watch? He doesn't even dare to post his watch pic here.
