[GVGT] Condo security guard throw food delivery order

You know the cost of engaging security officers in condo is one of the highest. Overseas usually one officer per building at any one time, here is like 3 for a 500+ units development.

Haha, you not aware of the actual details. Assuming it is really 500 units , there will be 6 security guards on its full time payroll, usually 7 lah as the supervisor is the 7th and then another part time guard. Thus 7 and a half

The delivery guy shouldn’t left the food on the chair and probably expect the security to call the customer to come down to collect

Many delivery is impatient and simply can’t wait even for mere 5-10 mins

Security is wrong in throwing the food by falling into the bait of the delivery guy

If the food is contaminated, the guard may be blamed as he is the last one in contact with the food. This is to protect your own backside.

No~ You have refer to #3 claus as there's no safe place to leave the food (after rider tried all means to contact the customer without succeed), rider should dispose the food and take the photos as proof~

2. owner : food $10 + order new food $10
3. delivery guy : lose job

I tell you straight, this condo’s management will order security agency to change this guard … this 1 will be banned from ever working in their estate again. The guard might be redeployed to other site if both agency and guard can come to agreement on where else they can put him, but if they can’t, he’d just lost his job.

Not sure if this makes things any better, but I can pretty much confirm condo’s management will not ask the guard to pay for the food.

Seems like customer's fault? Order liao but never give any info and MIA. Delivery guy also need to take other orders.

The guard also could've handled it properly. Instead of saying he will throw just put on the floor lah. Maybe is also management told the guards strictly can't leave food there. Next time need to print notice so at least got black and white.

There's nothing wrong for the guard to throw away the food.
I don't understand why many said the guard will get into trouble.
The condo is a private property and so is the chair.
And obviously the chair is used for sitting. Is it right for the deliveryman to leave it on it?
As some said, it's not guard job to collect the foods.
Condo resident can't complain against them.
You go to people's place to deliver, show your repect or manner to others.
This deliveryman is very evil hearted.
He filmed the guard and taunted him to throw the food just to shame the guard.
With the intention that the guard will get blamed or even fired from his job.
I hope the deliveryman's platform would fire him for not doing his job properly.
Lastly, the deliveryman talked like a fcuking gay..

Lobby tends to have a camera, hence that can act as deterrence. But ultimately, it should be the customer's problem.

Wait downstairs for the rider if not confident of the neighbours honesty. That is the point of the map and delivery notifications. Other countries, residents can trust each other but here is always lacking of trust and finding someone to blame if things turn sour. Drills down to the sinkie pwn sinkie mentality.
