Hi, not sure if this thread still active, but…

my father went on Taobao to buy a Deerma DEM-A10. I’ve been trying to connect it to my Singtel 2.4Ghz network but keeps failing.

anyone knows why? The WiFi password is correct and I have turned off auto connect to 5Ghz network on my iPhone

is the deerma region locked or am I just doing something wrong? I set the region on the deerma app to SG. If I try to set it to China region, do I need VPN?

Ok never mind. I found out that if I change region to China when setting up my account for Deerma app, the robot can connect to my WiFi

Hello. I want to ask: if robot leaves dock, then immediately indicator lights off and stops moving, what would be the possible issues?

Anyone knows when the X20 Max will be released in Singapore stores? Saw that the webpage already exists on Xiaomi SG webpage, and that it's available on Xiaomi Official Global Store. But SG stores + Shopee profile don't have.

X20 max look good and affordable. 700+ in shopee but I don't think there be local warranty? If the local version is also $700-800+ then I might be getting it.

I was looking at roborock q Revo but the model already out for 1 year+ and doesn't have flexiarm mopping/sweeping.

Ya... X20 Max hits most of my boxes while still being damn affordable, especially compared to the competition

I messaged the Shopee "Xiaomi Global Official Store", and they told me that there is warranty in Singapore at the local service center, and based on my research the store is legit from Xiaomi. But I'm hoping to see whether can buy local stock...ig less risk based on shipping.

I was looking at the Roborock Qrevo Master/MaxV as a close competitor to X20 Max, but X20 Max pricing is too good already compared to them.

Am aiming for this too but local price seems ridiculously high in shopee. Tb china model cost half. Any hack to make china version work in Singapore?
If the region lock is limited to having a China mobile number to receive SMS to log in on their app, then can use a temporary China mobile number to log in. But you have to find out if the provider of the mobile number lets you receive SMS for that particular product.

I used this method to log into Ecovacs app for a Ecovacs machine my father bought on Taobao.

the provider of the temporary number I used is MobileSMS.io. It’s 2 USD per SMS received

the downside to this is that if the app logs you out then you have to set up all over again, because you don’t own the number; it’s just a randomly assigned number for that one SMS. I just started using the Ecovacs on 18 Oct, so too early to tell if the app can willy nilly log out

Basically you are saying the restriction is only due to receiving a SMS from a china number. If we have this , or someone with a china line to help with app registration , then it will work.

It’s true for Ecovacs. I don’t know if it’s true for other brands

@ralfale I read on Roborock subreddit that you not only have to use a China mobile number to log into app, but also their app will prevent you from using a China region machine when your phone GPS location is outside China.

coz for Ecovacs app, even when the app uses GPS, the machine still can be added to app

Just bought Xiaomi x20 max at $627.98 after shopee voucher + coins. Also used heymax to earn some additional miles. It will replace my Roidmi Eva which is dead after 2 years of usage.

Yea I think if you don't mind poor obstacle avoidance , there are few good price models. The inclusion of RGB camera for detection spikes up the price a lot as it's only available in high end models.

1st impression of Xiaomi x20 max. The base station is lighter than Roidmi Eva base station. Cleaning takes longer as it need to swing out to mop edges. Hair cutting brush cut the hair and leave almost no hair in the main brush. 2 hrs hot air drying dry the mop pad clean and dry.

At $620+ quite satisfied but they should include more free accessories.
