[GPGT] Price increase of 30% a certain local hawker food in 5 years, inflation is real

I am a HKM lover and i have a habit of taking photos of the stall and send to my family groupchat to see if anyone wanna eat so i can shunbian buy for them as well.
So as i was clearing my photo gallery and was surprised to find this photos which clearly depicted the distinct difference in prices shown in the three photos. First photo taken was on Dec 2019, 5 years ago where you can see the smallest portion of HKM is $3.50.
Next photo was taken on Jun 2021, 3 years ago where you can see from the pic clearly the smallest portion of HKM have increased to the price of $4.
The last photo I felt is the most ridiculous one, was taken last year on Jan 2023, where you can see from the pic the price of the smallest portion of HKM have increased to the price of $5.
I'm just afraid the price will rise again to $6 next year.
In conclusion, within the span of 5 years, the price have increased by an alarming 30%, let's ask ourselves this question, our salary got increase so much or not? Many of us have no salary increment and our pay is already stagnant.

I think you need to trace back to when it raised it's prices to $3.50. Some hawkers will try to absorb the cost of materials over a few years and then raise $0.50 after a few years. It is troublesome for them to raise the price by $0.10 or $0.20 every year.
