Means what? If know someone is wanted but as long as no request to nab him, can just don't do anything ah?

So means got request to Indonesia police to help nab him but no request sinkieland police to help?

And hor, why knowing someone is on red alert list but still allow to pass custom?

Whole thing does not seem right. Waiting for ministerial statement in the next parliament sitting and see got any mind blowing reason to learn or not.

There is a reason why we are (in)famously known for being the haven for smugglers of all kinds, money laundering rings... Anything goes when there's money to be made.

Very simple. You bring money in to Singapore, whatever you do in other countries, we close one eye. As long as you don’t do illegal stuff in Singapore or hurt Singaporeans per se, you stay low profile, we pretend you’re a high net worth person living and spending in SG. These ppl also bring along their families for long term education and healthcare services. They find Singapore a safe haven protected from their rivals and government of origin. In return they give us jobs. The Singaporean childcare teacher teaching his kids ABC, the Singaporean doctor taking care of his aged mother. We welcome them!!

The agencies also clarified that no Interpol Red Notice existed when Yan was granted permanent residency in Singapore.

Ok, can. Then when got notice liao did anyone did anything regarding the PR status?
Think can't help wonder when did the notice came out one. Just nice when the person travelled or long before.

But then as for the PR, not implying anything, not sure exact. But think perhaps, PR is PR, as long as didn't do any wrong in local. No way to fault bah.

Just like got heard of one story mentioned by their influencer. Got two long time PR here who applied PR for their son also years ago. But end up the son ran road balik kampong didn't not serve local conscription. Jiak local benefits gao gao. Seems intentional.

Much later on, the couple had another kid and still want to chut same pattern applied PR for the younger kid. But the kid application got rejected. And think the couple lamented online (thus the news came out perhaps). But conveniently forgot the track record of what they did with the previous son. The intention seems not pure.

Thus think as long as they don't do any wrong. Their own PR will not be affected one bah. Local won't fault them for their son wrong. But that doesn't mean local will forget what happened with their son, the bad history.

Think given local more neutral stand. Perhaps unless the other side specifically calls for (about some past history). If not, think local will not suka suka disturb the people when the people didn't do any wrong locally. :s22:

Money laundering is not a crime?
In their context getting hold of the loot preceded everything. Fujian bang was definitely Winnie initiated. How to explain the massive crack down in many countries within a span of few months

Definitely a joint effort but initiated by CCP, China FM Wang Yi was visiting Sg a week before the captured of the Fujian gang, probably to give hand over their criminal evidence to Sg. If not how we have so much evidence of Chinese ppl committing it in China and Myanmar etc...

Yan, a Singapore permanent resident in his 40s, was apprehended on 2 December 2024 by Indonesian immigration officers at Batam’s cross-border ferry terminal.
Officials flagged Yan during a routine Border Control Management system check, which revealed an Interpol Red Notice issued by the Beijing National Central Bureau

Singapore police told Bloomberg that an Interpol Red Notice does not empower them to arrest fugitives wanted by foreign jurisdictions.

How come Indon police can arrest him but SG police cannot?
So does that mean if a guy is wanted for multiple serial killings and issued with interpol red notice, he can still walk around in Singapore freely even if SPF knows about it?

Indo police seems much better than sg, isn't sg officers paid much higher?
