Australia region is key. They have higher power allowances

Yes that is the case for TUF-BE6500. I actually don't want to use Australia region settings but somehow current FW does not have Asia region settings yet (China version).

Other China version Asus routers have Asia region, including my RT-AX86U.

Anyway, HB710 is still a good buy at S$192.

Bro u joined SH5G too? The hb710 got show memory usage? Is 50% or 25%?

At 192 can consider dismantle and show the internals, what soc and if got 2x1gb memory modules :o

Can I ask if the $29.55/mth plan is it only available for those with sms notification from Starhub? I was told this by the CSO in WA as I keep getting error messages when signing up on their website.
Yes, I have the same issue(keep showing error messages) when trying to sign at StarHub website.

Then I managed to contact Selina and she assisted me with all the installation appointments and selection of router.

I really appreciated her help. Save all my time of calling 1630 and traveling to StarHub shop and Q:rolleyes:

I am still using Starhub 500Mbps plan (my secondary line). My main line is SingTel 5Gbps plan at S$49.90 per month (now price drops to S$46.90 per month).

But Starhub Jurong Point Shop staff allowed me to buy the HB710 at S$192 in this case (different shops may have different practices) after consulting his manager, based on my status as an existing Starhub Fibre broadband customer. Interestingly they mentioned to me EB810v at S$360 is only for Starhub 5Gbps/10Gbps customers.

Memory usage is at 60% without much going on. So I tend to believe the RAM size is only 1GB.

I am actually interested in the CPU used. I guess it will not use the flagship IPQ9574/9570 but rather IPQ9554/9550. But it is also possible that TP-Link is using the flagship Qualcom IPQ9574/9570 or MediaTek Filogic 880 platform (MT7988AV). MT7988AV is reported to be used in Archer BE805 and Archer BE550.

Not going to dismantle though. :ROFLMAO:

Yup, I can confirm that Selina is still working with this number. I just signed up with her and its much smoother and easier than dealing with the website and 1630. Got everything done with appointments set and contract received.

810v is 2gb but SH tplink lockdown to 1gb
Can u try dismantling and put here for review? :o

Haha, you are really into this 2GB RAM thingy.

I am also very much particular about the CPU used and the amount of RAM used.

Asus usually publishes the RAM and Flash size, but no details about the exact CPU used (but easy to guess based on the description of the CPU).

For WiFi 7 routers, TP-Link does not publish the info about CPU, RAM size and flash size. They actually mention in their forum whether to publish such info is a business decision.

For EB810/HB810, I tend to believe that the initial versions may have 2GB RAM installed (based on earlier teardown reports). However, later production may only have 1GB RAM installed. Most of the users may not know anyway. And even if the users notice the RAM usage is 50% or 60%, that is perfectly fine anyway. Only if it is reaching 90% you may need to be worried.

Asus FW is more complicated and I guess they may consume more RAM than TP-Link. That does not prevent Asus to use 1GB RAM for lower cost models like RT-BE86U (single 10G ports and quad 2.5G ports) and ZenWiFi BT10 (dual 10G ports).

Link please. I could not find such offer in Taobao.

I tend to think you may mix up with TUF-BE3600. Often the two routers are combined in the same link.

A pity local and mainstream reviewers don’t practice tear downs

Mostly chinese or middle eastern europe reviewers more hardcore

@Dr.Vijay can request SH tplink to sponsor me do teardown reviews their router? :o
