@marshmallow96 Three questions.
  1. Which specific store do you shop for your accessories?
  2. Do you strictly go for authentic, official, 正品 ones?
  3. Do you have the tri-cut brush? If so, how is it?
As I explore this topic and engage with its community, I'm sanguine about my choice.

Thank you @haikallp and @marshmallow96.
Hi! I don’t shop at specific shops.. just see which one on better offer… sometimes Shopee, sometimes Taobao to help my hub clock the minimum amount for free SG shipping 🤣 sometimes official shop got good deal also. I don’t strictly use official, so far so good.

I’m using old model of S10+ (equivalent to international version L10 Ultra), I read in a Taiwanese group that someone tried the Tri-cut brush and it was a perfect fit in older model like L10 Prime, so I was tempted to try cos I have long hair and drop a lot 😆 but in the end I didn’t cos the Tri-cut brush back then only was available in official shop and it was expensive! I haven’t checked for a few months already so I don’t know if 3rd party ones are available by now

Good morning. For now, I'll order from Dreame on Taobao since I need to get the tri-cut brush and brush cover. Along with extra consumables to use as control when comparing with future third-party ones.

From your experience, which consumable do you replace the most often? Thanks again, happy winter solstice (dong zhi) and a splendid weekend!
For the robot mopping, are they using hot water only ? Or with detergent ?
I believe few, if any, has this feature. "Hot water" mostly refers to how the base station will wash your mop pads with warm/hot water. Robovacs with this feature are likely to also include warm drying of mop pads.

Use of detergent depends on the robovac. Happy shopping.

Yup looking around for robovac with detergent.

Tried a steam mopping before. Its disappointing. Not that clean.

Imagine you wash plates without detergent. The stubborn stain will still remain.

May I know why you didn't consider other brands with anti-entanglement brush designs? I saw the online tests, seems that the brushes with razor blades still got a lot of entanglement

For robot vacuum,
hot water is used in the dock to remove the stubborn stain on the mopping pad and prevent foul smell.

As for detergent, not much diff..... just feel floor more squeaky clean ba. (subjected by individual)

normal stain can ba.
stubborn stain dun think so.

Some models have detergent to wash pads at the docking station.

Water only and vibration or spinning for robo mopping pads.

I guess the spinning pads like dreame can clean better.

Good morning.
  1. Price: The Dreame L20 Ultra was available for pre-order for ~$440 on 12-17 Dec.
  2. Reputation: Dreame is right up there with Roborock. One excels in obstacle avoidance, the other in navigation.
  3. Review: Tried and tested robovac. The tri-cut brush, although sold separately, appears to work as intended.
Can you share said online tests?

Usually the comparison test videos will show, like this one near the end they show the entanglement state of the main roller.

For me it’s the side brush. Keeps dropping when it goes through my bathroom kerb 💀 (okie the situation is much improved after I put a ramp for the robot)

Just gotten T30, realized when the TrueDetect option is on makes the robot more "lazy". It just refuses to turn into tight corners. Anyone like me also turn it off?

Future of main roller will probably be a design that holds the roller on only 1 end

Good morning. First video was hilarious, akin to Takeshi's Castle for robovacs. Worst case scenario and the robovacs were set to their respective "AI" setting. The reveals were nasty. The Dreame tri-cut brush was in good shape bar the pubes on both ends. The Narwal was best with its single ended roller and pubes on one end.

Narwal impressed. Heard many good things about this young brand. Fuss-free dust bag and outstanding mopping feat. Overall, by setting a routine and increasing the frequency for auto-emptying, users shouldn't worry.

Hopefully such single ended rollers trickle down in the next few years. Space is dynamic. Established brands stagnating, while younglings are making leaps.

Good morning. What about the mop pads? Also, did you install any silver ion sterilizer in your fresh water tank?

Good morning, how is it?
G'day! After using it with vac-then-mop function, i feel it's really good with navigation, object avoidance & ability to update the map automatically (while cleaning) when furniture are moved around, way ahead of my Airbot L108s. No more bumping into my christmas tree haha!

Now i know why it's $1.5K originally with nice app and all the features, but i'm biased towards L20 since it is the model i was eyeing on when i got my house late last year.

Considering i got it for less than the Airbot (~$460) months ago, it's a no brainer, don't need to think twice. :)

I just bought the XM x20max .

Really can't add detergent to the water ah?

We need to get detergent specially made for robot vacuum, otherwise normal floor detergent or dettol will clog the piping inside dock or even the robot like this:

Mop pads recommended to change once every 3 months, I drag a bit to change only if it looks cui. Silver ion steriliser change once a year
