I am planning to install a Xiaomi CCTV outside one of my units, but there are no power sockets and my idea is to connect the CCTV to a powerbank and charge the powerbank using solar panels in the day. Powerbank will be hidden inside a compartment near the roof close to the CCTV. Do anyone have any suggestions?

Suggestion in what aspect?

Sounds good but might not be enough if it's set to always record. How busy is the view?

I am going to have a lot of comics and CDs in my place but I don't think people will steal these stuff generally

I've taken over some of the rental units from my mum, hoping to get some of the things I hope to set up before I start work again in 2025.

Ryan's suggestion by far is the best.

There are other methods, not advisable from Price point unless u want to get more than CCTV automation. such as a semi smart accomodation, while at it, get the electrican to install a spare cabling route for future

@albert.wesker if u worried, then dun get housemate. TBH tenants and housemate also need a bit of luck. some of the things people take can be as simple as a set of cutlery + bowls/plates making your set looks missing

i have lost couple items. one of which rather difficult to replace. That said i have met good people.
