The young man originally received 10 yuan for each prostitute he arranged, but the prostitute was unwilling to continue prostitution and was unwilling to share the remuneration. The young man followed the instructions of his "superiors" and extorted money from the prostitute. He was arrested by the police and was sentenced to six months and two weeks in prison yesterday.
The defendant, Huang Yuankai (26 years old), was charged with four charges, including violations of the Women's Charter and the Passport Act. He admitted to two of the charges yesterday, and the remaining charges will be taken into consideration by the judge when sentencing.
The investigation revealed that the defendant was originally a client of a prostitute. In May last year, he obtained the WeChat contact information of a pimp named "Wen Shao". The two parties reached an agreement that the defendant could earn 10 yuan for each client he arranged.
Wen Shao would also ask the defendant to do other things for him.
At 12:30 am on June 23, the defendant followed Wen Shao's instructions and went to Changi Airport to pick up a Chinese woman (26 years old) who came to Singapore to engage in prostitution, and then took a taxi to the first hotel.
After arriving, the defendant confiscated the woman's passport as instructed. Between June 23 and 26 last year, the defendant arranged at least 10 prostitutes, and the woman received 5,640 yuan but did not hand it over.
On the 27th, the woman was unwilling to continue to work as a prostitute for Wen Shao, who said she had to receive 14 more clients before she could get her passport back. Although she was unwilling, she still followed Wen Shao's arrangement and went to the second hotel.
At 7:30 that evening, the defendant went to the woman's house and asked her to
The defendant wanted to pay the money, but the woman refused to give it. The defendant followed Wen Shao's instructions and robbed the woman of 330 yuan and 60 RMB (about 11.2 Singapore dollars) in cash.

The woman called the police through a friend, and the defendant was subsequently arrested. The woman's passport was seized from him.
The prosecution said that the defendant did not receive any compensation when he was arrested. The defendant was responsible for picking up Chinese women, finding prostitutes, arranging pick-up times, and closely supervising women, etc. Wen Shao's criminal gang was a transnational crime, and urged the judge to sentence the defendant to jail for between 6 and a half months and 8 months.
The judge eventually sentenced him to six months and two weeks in prison.
