They probably guess la. No one will give ic to stranger what
If the act is deliberate / persistent, the perps will have an easier time guessing the date of issue of the compromised NRICs. E.g. between now and March 2025. The date range would likely be narrower since ICA needs to send the victims a replacement quickly as part of service recovery e.g. now and end-Jan.

In other words, re-issuing NRIC is not an effective solution.

Becuz it requires the IC date of issue. There are lots of kumgongs who will knowingly let others take snapshots of their physical IC, probably for money lending. A while back, there was a thread about a massive IC leak on telegram.

Let these morons learn the lesson the hard way.

Cos those shops and companies etc take photos of back of NRIC for address portion isn't it

So can't blame them

Obviously don't expect the mickey mouse shops to treat such information as top secret when they are on verge of collapse at any second

It's pure stupidity to rely on dates as the "secret". The brute force range is so small. They need an infra overhaul to either facial or biometric thanks to acra.

I know calling for jo teo indranee and acra head to step down is impossible but this is the perfect case of sinkies get what we vote for
