If the act is deliberate / persistent, the perps will have an easier time guessing the date of issue of the compromised NRICs. E.g. between now and March 2025. The date range would likely be narrower since ICA needs to send the victims a replacement quickly as part of service recovery e.g. now and end-Jan.They probably guess la. No one will give ic to stranger what
Cos those shops and companies etc take photos of back of NRIC for address portion isn't itBecuz it requires the IC date of issue. There are lots of kumgongs who will knowingly let others take snapshots of their physical IC, probably for money lending. A while back, there was a thread about a massive IC leak on telegram.
Let these morons learn the lesson the hard way.
LOL
What a joke.
so hacker can try again with jan 2025 issue date
It's pure stupidity to rely on dates as the "secret". The brute force range is so small. They need an infra overhaul to either facial or biometric thanks to acra.If the act is deliberate / persistent, the perps will have an easier time guessing the date of issue of the compromised NRICs. E.g. between now and March 2025. The date range would likely be narrower since ICA needs to send the victims a replacement quickly as part of service recovery e.g. now and end-Jan.
In other words, re-issuing NRIC is not an effective solution.
