they all say different things because nowadays they operate as silos instead of one entity.

you see all the problems and scandals that have happened the past 5 years is because of this.
Wasn't the whole scholar system of rotating high flyers meant to prevent silos? So even that expensive experiment was an abject failure?

every ministry and its sister agencies are their own silos what. rotating all these high flyers does nothing if the agencies and ministries do not want to communicate or even work with each other.

remember how difficult it is to make sheltered walkways? its 2025 and its still the same problem lol

What's so hard about that? PM juz needs to say any ministry that does not communicate or work wif each other will have no promotions and bonus dat year.

For Bidadari (1 seat), Potong Pasir (1 seat), Macpherson GRC (1 seat) Marine Parade GRC (5 seats) i guess these places will also merge and split. 2 GRCs?
Hint is the free shuttle bus. Macpherson suddenly turns up under Marine Parade cluster.

Tintin's Macpherson has always been under Marine Parade Town Council's umbrella, same as Ah Biow's Mountbatten

I also think 2 x GRC will come out of these six subzones

Possible changes (may not reflect on the map)

North -

  1. Either a new SMC comes in Woodlands,
  2. Minor changes within Sembawang & Marsiling - Yew Tee GRCs
South/Central -

  1. Ang Mo Kio GRC to cut down in electoral size (either both Kebun Baru and YCK SMC to absorb more parts of AMK)
  2. Sengkang GRC either upsize to 5 or stay 4.
  3. Braddell Heights either carved out as SMC or into another GRC, PP SMC to remain as SMC or into another GRC
East -

  1. Punggol - Pasir Ris GRC to divide into 2 GRCs
  2. Marine Parade & East Coast to merge to form 5-member GRC
West -

  1. West Coast to be redrawn into different parts - Jurong West to Jurong GRC, West Coast & Telok Blangah to other GRCs
  2. Bukit Panjang & Bukit Batok remain as SMC or absorbed into GRC
  3. Tengah either at CCK GRC or Jurong GRC

5-member GRCs and above should be banned. GRC size should be limited to 4-member GRC at most.

Wards at Jurong West:
Nanyang
Pioneer
Gek Poh (1/2 a ward)
Boon Lay
Taman Jurong
Jurong Spring
Jurong Central (2/3 in Jurong West)

Total 5 + 0.5 + 0.66 = 6.16 wards.

Can easily have a 5-member Jurong West GRC and 1 SMC.

With these wards:
1. Gek Poh - Jurong Central (JW part only)
2. Jurong Spring
3. Boon Lay
4. Taman Jurong
5. Nanyang

Pioneer SMC remain.

Whereas for Jurong East, actually, only got these wards:
Jurong Central (1/3 in Jurong East)
Yuhua
Bukit Batok East (1/3 in Jurong East)
Ayer Rajah (1/2 a ward)

Total = 0.33 + 1 + 0.33 + 0.5 = 2.16 wards

Unless, combine with Bukit Batok SMC (1) and 2/3 of Bukit Batok East (0.66) and Hong Kah North SMC (1),

Such that we have a 2.16 + 1 + 0.66 + 1 = 4.82 (5 member) Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC, whereby 2 wards in Jurong East (2.16) and 3 wards in Bukit Batok (2.66).

It’s actually possible.

If want make the JE and BB proportion equal, can let Hong Kah North SMC remain, therefore JE-BB GRC is 4 member, 2 in JE and 2 in BB.

In summary:
5 member Jurong West GRC
1 member Pioneer SMC
4 member Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC
1 member Hong Kah North SMC

The remainder wards of affected West Coast GRC and Jurong GRC: West Coast, Telok Blangah, Bukit Timah District, Clementi. Just nice can form a new 4-member GRC by themselves. Clementi GRC is a nice name to consider.
Clementi GRC can consist of West Coast, Clementi, Buona Vista, Ulu Pandan and Bukit Timah while Telok Blangah goes to Tanjong Pagar GRC. But I have less hope of this new GRC forming
