BTO prices are PEGGED at a discount to re-sale HDB price

Case in point AMK BTO was 877k..

Re-sale going up, then guess what would happen to BTO prices?

Indeed HDB lost money to SLA, and SLA claims that they just converted Land to $$ so didnt make profit

Any experts pls enlighten me where the 877k went to ? Is it thin air?

6 million people are fighting for 1 million flats. Now 2 million singles are given resale flat grants to buy flats

According to Desmond Lee, cooling measures will need time to take effect.

Dunno who is he trying to bluff, since prices has risen for 4 straight years... Must we wait for HDB plus flats to MOP before deciding on further actions? His Ineffective measures coupled with his unwillingness to implement hard policies, is very telling.

They want prices to appreciate at a modest pace, those cooling measures are just road bumps, to slow the rate of increase nia.

Ultimately, they just want to tax sinkies more through land cost. Truly Pay And Pay.

Because it's not crazy. The reality is that sinkies are getting richer. If you think it's expensive, means you're not getting rich like everyone else
This is quite a dumb take on the situation.

Fact is previous gen could afford their flats through single income. Blue collar income even.

Currently, most households require dual income with longer loan tenure to purchase a smaller flat, with a longer wait time and much more restrictions.

Have to be quite daft to not know that it is very much more expensive now.

HDB flat is still considered very cheap, you can get a 5 room flat in Sengkang for around $620,000.

Because they want inflation at home to match inflation around the world.
