Voting buying?
How pap performance there last ge ?

https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...in-latest-round-of-home-improvement-programme

The 371 blocks chosen for upgrades are located in estates that include Choa Chu Kang, Pasir Ris, Tampines and Jurong West, and the Government has allocated more than $407 million for the works.
Nowadays with the rise of social media the perception of voting for opposition or being in an opposition ward is different from last time.

Now that the government has publicly announced upgrading works for these estates but in the event if the ward falls into opposition hands and they renege on their promises then ppl sure dulan and post on social media. Then it definitely will reflect very badly on the ruling party.

boomer cannot save them but new citizens can
Hard to say....

Plot twist - The NCs which the PAP have been trying to get them in asap became the decisive factor in swinging against them. Many of them who were fascinated initially later became fed up with the actual cost of living here. Most are vocal, vs the locally born who are conditioned to be docile & compliant

Will happen
But not so soon. This GE won't happen.
In the future if these NC groups have the numbers it could be even possible they start their own parties.

If there's no change in the influx in numbers, then what you mentioned will become the foreseeable future. By then, the actual SG ID & core would be severely diluted & changed

For everyday matters, this is happening as we speak.
It's good & impt for them to assimilate into local culture & way of life. But truth is that, when there are too many of their own kind in a foreign country, what need is there for them to adapt to local norms? It's easier for them to continue their existing ways among the same group

They oy worried if more ministers gets voted out, then they have to take up multiple roles.

Which is good as we will have a cheaper gov. Savings can be channelled to help the poor instead of increasing gst.
