Indeed, no issues to stick to the Google Mesh Gen 1.

Make sure you choose the ONT option and not ONR option no matter for S$29.55 offer or S$30.37 recontract offer. Google mesh does not work in bridge mode so that will be a big problem to go with ONR. The main Google router will work in bridge mode but then mesh will no longer work.

And I stayed on my 500Mbps plan and not to sign up the S$29.55 per month plan because I am lazy and do not want the hassle of signing up as a new user (in fact not so much hassle for me because I do not use digital voice). Once they offered me the recontract offer at S$30.37, I happily upgraded (signed on 23 Jan 2025, installed on 22 Feb 2025), ONT option with free TP-Link EX510. I do not use the EX510 but rather use HB710 (bought at S$192 from Starhub shop previously) as the main router.
Same here but I'm staying on 1Gbps plan at a price point lower than your 500Mbps mainly because I don't even need 1Gbps to start with.

My old 500Mbps plan is more than enough.

Hi guys! signed the 5GBPS plan and trooper came to set up.

The terminal in the DB box,
1x HB710 in the DB box
1x HB710 in the living room

My average speed on wifi across all devices is around 400+mbps on Ookla speed test. is that normal?

Macbook pro
iPhone 13
iPad Pro

just tested both side by side
iPhone around 300+
https://ibb.co/M5B25376
MacBook Pro 500+
https://ibb.co/93BkBrfC

It seems you are using web browser for the testing and all your WiFi clients do not support 160 MHz channel bandwidth (lousy WiFi 6 clients). So the best you can get is 500Mbps to 800 Mbps.

Use SpeedTest app and see how it goes.

What is your Macbook Pro model? iPad Pro model?

I've got WA message from SH last week on Thurs/Fri.
Have opted for the $29.55 ONR with the 2 routers/modems package with 12 months Asian+ TV.
Needed to be new user*.

CSO didn't ask me to create new account and proceeded with my application and sent email with service agreement. (Installation Date was 01/03/2025)
Had confirmed my other Fibre Port had been activated previously (as i moved from M1).
Can cancel current plan after installation completed with my Digital Voice (Homeline) ported after a few days.

Update:: Just as i'm tpying this out.....

Had messaged SH 1633 Roam on WhatsApp after i saw the ONT + HB710.
The CSO on WA linked me to the CSO that did my application on 21/02/2025.
Called me within 10 mins after i ended my message with them on WA.

Need to postponed installation date as they accepted my request to change from ONR to ONT plan.
The CSO said the back end have to contact NLT (NetLink Trust) to change the fibre from ONR to ONT (??)
They will contact me again after getting another available date to install.

Also pointed to me that i will only have 1 Router (HB710) instead of 2.
The promotional 12 months Asian+ TV will also not be available.

To me, getting the ONT + HB710 makes more sense instead of ONR.
This SH CSO is very good service and the new promotion is very good deal. For this HB710 router, users are mainly using WiFi as there is only 1 LAN port. However it is ok as most users prefer wifi connection as wifi is more convenient. The good is this router can support up to 10Gbps via LAN cable connection.

Such saying may be correct but it may not be correct to stay as the promotion is very good. Any way 1Gbps plan will not be available for long so instead of staying at 1Gbps it may be good to take up this good deal. You do not need very expensive hardware for this plan as it is just 5Gbps and not 10Gbps. Actually there is benefit for upgrading to this plan which some do not noticed it.

Indeed, the Starhub public website Fibre Broadband plans including HomeHub+ plans are all with ONT and WiFI 7 routers now. This is great news. Thanks for the updates.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/store/broadband.html

3Gbps plans --> ONT + HB410
5Gbps plans --> ONT + HB710
10Gbps plans --> ONT + EB810v mostly, except the Oppo bundle which seems to come with HB710
HomeHub+ --> ONT + HB710 or EB810v

The S$29.55 per month 5Gbps ONR offer link is still there though -- but it will probably be removed soon.
