I always feel like I encounter a lot of speedsters along Nicoll highway, ECP, and SLE (people chionging to checkpoint). More than on other expressways, so I never feel safe taking lane 1 on those expressways.

Not possible cos this will also affect acceleration. So imagine a car (let’s say a Malaysian one or one that has no limiter) is rushing to you and you wanna accelerate out of the way but it’s sluggish

You can see that in the SAF tonners
Told you speed limiter should not affect acceleration performance. Xiaomi su7 ultra has 1527hp, 0-100 in 1.98 seconds, 0-200 in 5.86 seconds. Step on the accelerator a bit already over speed limit.

Of course the car is designed to unleash full power only in the time lap mode. For normal street driving the eco and sports mode capped the power output for relaxed control.

Are you newbie driver leaning to drive? Other cars rushing is their problem as long as you are driving at average speed does not hog the road. Safety first.

Lorries also have limiters and proven it works …. To tackle this speeding problem is to prevent ppl to even allow it to happen
Yes and lorries are slow. Those that run havoc are probably those without limiters.

And frankly speaking, if a person is reckless, no amount of limiter will help. Maybe he go 90km/hr in a neighbourhood road. Then how? 50km/hr? He do it in a carpark. Then how? Everyone at walking speed?

Just a rich person don't appreciate living on this planet.
I have seen many merc, porche especially, BMW rich young person anyhow speed up and cut into line recklessly. We should build a elite tunnel for them to test drive.

Well deserved death. Good riddance

1 less menace on the road. It's a blessing that only the driver himself perished alone in this accident. Luckily no other innocent life was harmed.

Such irresponsible person does not deserve any sympathy from the public. The actions of 1 person alone could have destroyed other families like the ** black Saab driver

The fixed cameras are pretty useless these days , the sports cars and EVs can easily speed to 100+ within a few secs, jam brake at the cameras/ overhead bridges then 0-150 again. The authorities need to find new ways of enforcing the law. Also keep officers from getting killed, eg. the officer chasing the bike last year.

Now have smart driving assist that read the road signs and speed limit, also navigation system map that have speed limit of the roads. The car can adjust the speed limiter according to the road.
