The only way he’d have had a chance were if some self sacrificial guy rammed the wreck out of the pool of burning fuel.

or if the cars around it are equipped with fire extinguishers...plus driver know how to use it

Catl posted lab testing video of their battery cell got sliced apart by metal object, bended 90 deg did not catch fire. EV battery pack is usually protected by the chassis. Need extreme cases to damage the cell directly.
saw one vid where a car drove over something sharp on the road and it caught fire.

lifepo4 is not flammable. The evs that burn probably using another chemistry. lifepo4 has a downside in that their energy storage density is much lower than the more volatile stuff.

nah where's the proof? i punctured every lithium battery prior to disposal in order to watch how it burn. they all burn very fast without exception
Lithium polymer most likely. Super volatile when damaged. Highest energy density per unit mass, and widely used for that reason.

Govt should build a track in tuas for those who want to race or test their vehicles.

Charge a high fee for using it. They can afford it. Shun bian offer retail space for insurance companies, panel beating services, car maintenance services and maybe and undertaker company or two.

last time got some organization wanna propose that at changi. a dedicated track

it never went through. dunno if it was due to lack of fundings or what.... i know govt had zero involvement in it.

Ncm batteries... More densely packed and reacts instantly too when bleached.

The lfp cells batteries are more stable and most of the time do not ignite upon serious impact. Another pro is a higher charge recharge cycle lifetime.

read the accounts of the driver banging on window and screaming for his life while the car burn...not a funny image to even imagine

onus of the carnage caused is all on the driver, but he already paid for with his life

at least he didnt take anyone with him and lets not kick a man down further bah...

there is no such thing as a lithium battery that won't burn. go puncture expired phone batteries, ev car batteries etc and see it yourself
