Best actress, so that she can focus on her acting career

And Eggmy, so that she can go back where she came from (as extolled by herself)

Black Attack Dog Shan and his B&W bff Vivi

NCM - the undeserving labour chief

Piece de resistance: Laolan Wong; can banish him to be a guitarist of a band in some niche cafe/pub

Sembcorp head Valerie Lee spotted with Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MPs

From West to East.

Valerie Lee Nai Yi, head of corporate affairs for Singapore and Southeast Asia at Sembcorp Industries, was spotted at the Pasir Ris-Punggol Career Marketplace held on Mar. 22, 2025 at Downtown East, D’Marquee.

Dressed in white, she walked about the various booths at the event with Pasir Ris-Punggol Group Representation Constituency (GRC) Members of Parliament (MPs) Senior Minister (SM) Teo Chee Hean, Desmond Tan, Sharael Taha, and Yeo Wan Ling.

While fellow Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC MP Janil Puthucheary was not present at the event, Punggol West Single Member Constituency's (SMC's) Sun Xueling was also present at the event with the MPs.

Lee was previously seen participating in constituency visits on the other side of the island in the West Coast GRC back in December 2024.

West Coast GRC was dissolved, along with Jurong GRC and Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, following the release of the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee's (EBRC's) report on Mar. 11.

Senior Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Desmond Tan demurred when was asked whether Lee could possibly be fielded in Punggol GRC or Pasir Ris-Changi GRC.

"The deployment will have to depend on the Prime Minister. She has been a grassroots leader in the west for many years, we asked her to join us for this event," he said.

Tan, however, noted:

"There are three of us now in Pasir Ris, but it's going to be a four-man GRC.

So naturally, we will have one new face, new candidate, to join us to form the new four-man GRC."

Possibly a close fight

Currently, the five MPs in Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC are:

  • Janil Puthucheary
  • Desmond Tan
  • Teo Chee Hean
  • Yeo Wan Ling
  • Sharael Taha
The existing five-member Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC, however, was split into two four-member GRCs, following the release of the EBRC report and its adoption by the government.

The two new GRCs are Punggol GRC, and Pasir Ris-Changi GRC.

Pasir Ris-Changi GRC will incorporate some Pasir Ris estates and some parts of the current East Coast GRC.

Punggol GRC will take up the Punggol estates from Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC and add in Punggol West SMC, which Sun is the current MP for.

Punggol GRC was speculated as a potential "fierce fight" between WP and PAP. This is mainly due to it being a new GRC, and the relatively young population there.

Tan, when asked about whether he is anticipating an opposition presence in the area in light of the upcoming GE, noted the presence of the Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA), an opposition coalition group, as well as People's Voice (PV) during the previous GE in the Pasir Ris-Punggol area.

Career marketplace

The Pasir Ris-Punggol Career Marketplace was launched to provide residents with various career development initiatives.

“We want to welcome all our residents, and particularly also those from Changi or neighboring Changi, who are joining us this morning,” SM Teo said during a welcoming address he delivered at the event.

The event was co-organised by Pasir Ris-Punggol Grassroots Organisations, NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute (e2i), NTUC LearningHub (NTUC LHUB), Project S.U.C.C.E.S.S and North East Community Development Council.

More worry how high COL and public housing PAP going to have for next 5 years ?

Also will there be continuous and more frequent retrenchments (job security instability) and citizen salary stagnancy with continue crazy high cost ?

Both these will push more people to suicidal ?

With "controlled" vouchers, businesses will keep increase prices especially supermarket ?
