Tampines GRC and Tampines Changkat SMC confirmed go to PAP regardless whether they walk on the ground or not.

Why? It has nothing to do with PAP but the candidacy of opposition. WP or PSP may have a close fight with PAP but not other opposition parties. Most opposition parties do not walk the ground until election time. The incumbent party has hundreds of volunteers on the ground to feedback to the MPs plus the machineries like PA and RC, etc to do the ground work. Without money, opposition parties have an uphill task to gather feedback on the ground on the daily basis. You have 5 years to gather feedback on the ground. Can they conduct it daily throughout these 5 years without huge budget and resources?

In addition, voters look at the candidates' and parties' reputation, credibility and so forth.

When voters have no good opposition candidates to choose from, they will choose PAP, better be safe than sorry. This is human instinct/nature.

Hope that they can take back their deposits.

Many residents living in East Coast / Marine parade like ET. These are the rich people districts.

Nonetheless, WP will have a good fight if they can present solid candidates over there. So far only the Senior Counsel looked solid but one person is not good enough.

Too many jhk and jhb turned new citizens supporting her? They are all 同乡
Yes, she appeals to the older generations. She will be voted in this time as well.

Strong support from the older generations is good enough to secure her seat in Parliament.

volunteers and grassroots are usually very demeaning, rather than the mps themselves.

because they are 'scouts' for mps, they usually expect citizens to feel honoured to even have a chance to speak to their high ups..

GMS like Lim Tean and KJ only know how to talk big big as keyboard warrior
Erm, they are opposition, what can they do other than talk, the way local works. All the resources are in incumbent hands, and the power to change things. They are not incumbent, don't be have the misconception they can do things incumbent do. Its misleading.

S'porean SME employer describes interviewing 7 job applicants 'not hungry for jobs', sparks debate
https://mothership.sg/2020/08/7-interviews-not-hungry-for-jobs/

One Singaporean employer, Delane Lim, took to Facebook on Aug. 29 to highlight seven interviewees he rejected recently.
The reason? They had too many demands as potential hires.
Lim's post then received mixed reactions but it was widely shared.
Within a day, the post had been shared more than 6,000 times on Facebook.
