That even lesser that my car annual depreciation... How does he have the deposit to contest so many areas? Or members oneself forked out their own deposit?

Senior Minister of State (SMS) for Sustainability and the Environment and Transport Amy Khor, 67, has been serving Hong Kah North as the Member of Parliament (MP) for 24 years.

However, Hong Kah North has been dissolved and incorporated into neighbouring Jurong East-Bukit Batok GRC and Chua Chu Kang GRC, according to the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee report.

This naturally raises questions about Khor’s future plans as a MP.

Will she be fielded in GE2025?​

Speaking to the media after a walkabout at Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre, Khor said she will continue to focus on serving Hong Kah North residents by connecting with them, understanding their needs and assisting them.

She added that she will also "continue to enhance the living environment" in the constituency such as the recent opening of the Bukit Batok West Hawker Centre which has been "really welcomed" by residents in the area.

As of whether she will be fielded in the coming election, Khor said that it is a decision that PM Wong and the party will have to make, and it will be announced in due course.

24 years at Hong Kah North​

Khor thanked Hong Koh North residents for the strong support that they have given to her in the past 24 years.

"It really has been a very humbling and meaningful experience and journey," Khor added.

Khor also shared fond memories of community interactions such as having residents whom she used to hand out Edusave bursaries to recognising her and buying a flat in the area as they "like the place".

She added that some residents had also invited her to their weddings and housewarming parties.

She said that these interactions were very "heartfelt" and "heartwarming", adding that she will cherish such memories with the residents.

New faces spotted at Tengah CC​

While Khor does not have a clear answer on whether she will be running for the upcoming general election, a new face was spotted with her at the opening of Tengah Community Club.

Melissa Tan, a long-time PAP volunteer who was active in Hong Kah North, was present at the event.

Next to Tan at Tengah CC was also a potential PAP candidate Chua Wei-Shan, an entrepreneur who may be contesting in Chua Chu Kang GRC.

Tan is the Chief Executive Officer of waste management firm Wah and Hua.

Last November, she was spotted walking the grounds of Fengshan with the East Coast GRC MPs.

Which PAP new face is more qualified to contest in Choa Chu Kang GRC? Melissa Tan or Chua Wei-Shan?

noticed all the miw very humji dont dare to say if they will contest... keep reply the same thing wait for their boss to allocate them... knn no love for your place

WP and PSP never said where they contesting either.
