You mean it's not alrdy paralysed? They have been sleeping for so long it's pretty much hibernation at this point.

You can't deny that the probing questions by oppos have had some significant impact. Jamus pushed for min income, and then PAP spin it as their own.

I mean...
Monitoring is still movement......
Just very very very slow....

i dont fear paralysis

i fear
mrt breakdowns
foreign workers cutting my queue
transport fare hikes
gst hikes
tax wastage on memorial
temasek investment losses in efishery n crypto
hdb price hikes
these are way scarier than paralysis

which already seems in place since these problems have not been addressed

‘You don’t want a govt that is embroiled in complacency,’ say me ahead of GE2025

We need oppositions to try to steal the govt MPs and Ministers' lunch so that they work harder for the people. With no challenge and competition they will become too complacent and lazy. This is what they always tell sinkies.

In short, they don't want people to challenge their decision, they say what is what. People have to honestly ask themselves, is that good or bad for the people. Look at where many are right now with them unchallenged.

It will take at least 15-20 years for WP to break PAP's supermajority in Parliament.

Till date, I am not sure why Singaporeans prefer to give PAP a supermajority in Parliament.

Singapore is an only country with ruling party constantly holding supermajority in Parliament since independent.

I agreed with Pritam said earlier this week. In the past, the founding PAP members want an Opposition presence in Parliament to check on the incumbent. But recently, PAP gave me a vibe that they want to win all seats if possible and do not care if there are no elected Opposition MPs in Parliament.

Since they like to use supply and demand, market forces in their argument, we need perfect competition for them.

Those that can't perform will exit the game, while the competition benefits the people.
