Think its also the incumbent effect bah. The house always has the advantage. Just like incumbent on the whole place. The election is theirs to lose. Not opposition.

As for the opposition, its hard to beat against that odds, the house advantage. But once they make it, become the incumbent in that area. Then they also benefit from the house advantage.

Thus it become theirs to lose also. Unless they did alot to irk the people, if not, they don't need to do much just need to maintain the status quo also hard to lose bah.

For people can see that having opposition won't really change their life much for the bad. But with incumbent there deciding everyone life. Its bad when there are no opposition to veto their undesirable decision.

She’s the journalist who sparked the NRIC unmasking saga, and she’s back on Yah Lah BUT. Bertha Henson joins us for a wide-ranging conversation about Singapore’s political state of play. From the EBRC Report to the recent NMP resignations, from Edwin Tong’s viral walkabout video to whether opposition “mosquito parties” should just call it quits - Bertha gives her no-holds-barred take on what’s broken, what needs fixing, and what voters should look out for this GE2025. And she also tells us why she’s now going “Chin & Chai” with her political commentary.

This area is “claimed” by small potato party opposition like the Red Dot clowns and GMS.

Quite frankly, I have a good feeling that, should WP contest there, the jokers will back off because the possibility of them losing deposit doubles … if WP contest there and they still insist on 3-way, then I am convinced their deposit is sponsored by others.

Just stating and accepting the obvious and moving on from there.
It is better than demanding for a strong mandate so that they can DO SOMETHING for the residents.

What did they do after getting so much strong mandate under the previous boss ?
Monitoring issues, brushing off serious questions, fixing the other side and creating saga.
That is what we are getting after giving you the mandate for the past 2 decades with our livelihood becoming worse every 5 years.

If that is the case, it is better off giving the tick to the other side so that they can make all of you cough out the answers and addressing any issues immediately.
And not wait for 5 years later to fix it.

Doubt so, from past election, it seem they are only Keen in Sengkang, Aljunied, and Hougang

Back when Pasir Ris and Punggol GRC is still together they also never came and contest

The only opposition party that keep contesting is Desmond and Singh
