"The 62-year-old takes home about $2,900 a month, and spends $200 a week on groceries. He said most months he lives from pay cheque to pay cheque, and hardly has savings.

“I recently had to fork out $1,300 to buy a laptop for my son’s polytechnic studies. I skipped lunch for half a month,” he said.

$1300 / 15 = $86 per lunch

He eat lunch at Marriott?

How come got so much to pay?

WC-JW strong enough. the other areas all shaky.
not really, i think quite the opposite. Eversince Tharman left. there isn't a stonk candidate. Desmond one is not enough to defend. Ground sentiments isn't that good in jurong grc. Not looking good for them. PSP team in west coast is quite strong

The new citizens vote PAP due to them getting their citizen certificate from PAP MPs but also switch over to opposition over time as they have no emotional attachment to Ah Gong and feel their life is getting worse over time
Once they became a SG citizen, they become subjected to the same set of concerns as us too.

Need to pay CPF/CPF withdrawal get delayed, serve NS and worried about livelihoods threatened by cheaper S-Pass, etc. who employees would select due to no need take time off for reservist and pay Employer's CPF, etc.

The positive feeling from becoming a new Citizen may possibly only last for a few years too, as over time may fade.

or the incumbents view WP has the main/only major threat/competitor.

They can put LW in West coast last min like Heng swee last time
Lawrence Wong is the boss leh, will he have the balls to sacrifice himself in a shaky GRC which he will get voted out and no longer be the PM or remain in his safe haven?

Hardly see my PAP MP since last GE doing walkabout or house visit.

In fact, seen PSP volunteers doing weekend house visits for past 3-4 years already. They present a more familiar face for residents in my area.

SG60 is a Time for Change. VTO.

PS: Those who still sayang PAP no need worry, they will still represent part of govt BUT not the majority.

Wow! Which ward are you in???

That's called wasting time as well.

No leh...Protest votes do send a message though..

Got leh...1 unionist mm lol

Mosquito parties that depend only on protest vote or anti-PAP votes cannot win any seats one

Yup..That is why PSP wants to be the party of choice...

Remember GERRY's salaMANDER??

or the incumbents view WP has the main/only major threat/competitor.

Well, the formation of the WC-JW GRC is a huge sign that PSP is also an up and coming threat!

Whatever floats your boat. If it's me, I rather just enjoy the holiday and don't vote at all. In this political climate with weak opposition parties, voting is a waste of time activity.
