The initial honeymoon is nice. New shiny passport can go a lot of places without the need of visa plus the citizenship ceremony will have the MIW welcoming you with huge smiles.

After the citizenship ceremony and the effect of a new passport wears off, the hard realities starts to hit.
Foreigners come here in the first place mostly because of higher salary than their home, strong SGD relative to their currency or income taxes is lower

Not every countries is like SG one, having a relatively loose immigration policy.
