I am guilty of not trying more korean food, it is probably on the menu in sg too.

the beef slices on menu look good!
I don't like korean food.

It's too one dimensional.

Either spam kimchi in literally everything or throw everything into a pot call it army stew.

Or grill meat sizzle sizzle sizzle.

Or instant noodles spruced up with fancy ingredients to mask the fact that it's still instant noodles.

I think it got to do with their food history especially during and after WW2...

Because before that it was mainly kimchi based petite dishes.

And you know it's a problem when they hold instant noodles to such high esteem,

Going as far to serve it at official events...

"During a recent event at the presidential office in Seoul, Korean officials served diplomats frozen gimbap and Samyang Foods' signature instant noodles, including the popular Buldak spicy noodles, as part of a dinner."

I don't think it is limited. It is what it is.

There is also the galbi sauce. Gochujang sauce.

Maybe not so many Korean restaurants as in Canada.

We eat Korean food at home for dinner some nights. Japanese also. Chinese. Western. Italian. Etc.

Perhaps Korean food too similar to Jaoan and Chinese and SG food.

I still have not tried much of the middle Eastern and Russian eastern European cuisine

I do find that strictly Western European cuisine has little umami flavor. Tried a Bavarian feast and noticed it. Not my type of taste.
