trivial oppo who are so stupid to fight against one another when their survival against the mighty miw is at stakes, deserved to be ignored and lose their deposits.
go for WP, PSP, SDP
Think alot, especially the lesser ones, are caught up in the moment. Thinking that with so many challenges facing incumbent, the time is ripe for them to chiong. Thus heck care if they clashes.

Forgetting that the election is still incumbent to lose, not them to win. Therefore such clashes will only go further to decrease their chances, even if it might seems that its a good time to support opposition.

Divide and conquer. Incumbent often no need do much when times are bad. The opposition will help do themselves in.

And when people are split between many choices, they tend default to the incumbent. Should just limit the contest to between two. So that can make it clear that the matter is more between incumbent vs opposition. Not versus this and that party. :s22:

If they know the pattern, any nonsense from Trump will push up the cost to the residents.
And the white side will claim that they have to increase tax or charges due to this and that.
One thing for sure is they will not reduce them after the campaign is over.

Siao la, who cares multi corner fights between the mosquitoes parties. If it is a multi corner fight involving WP, the mosquito parties won’t even have any impact on the outcome.

Which is true that more people have accepted him. However, he kind of still have the old baggage from the past. In recent years, whenever he appear on the news, there are still a few people around me who will say that ‘he betrayed Chiam. He shouted at GCT”, those kind of things. I always tell people that there is more than meets the eye between him and Chiam while they were at SDP. Chiam moved a motion to censure him for his hunger strike, “disobedience“ and it went for voting within the CEC. The motion failed and Chiam realised he lost the support within CEC and he step down afterwards and eventually left the party. The media has always went about saying CSJ ousted Chiam from the party. Then the shouting incident caught on camera which I do not condone too. But who doesn’t make mistakes? that incident, for heaven’s sake, happened more than 22 years ago. I feel some people are flogging a dead horse. Many years later people have come to be impressed by him but on off you can still see comments that people are sceptical of his character. How bad could this person be when he devoted 10 years working on the ground in BB? His perseverance and dedication is amazing.

i hope he will do well in the coming election but Sembawang has always been like a stronghold for the PAP and it is his first contest there. So I think he would have done well to get 40% of the votes. I seriously think 45% a bit tough
With God’s blessing and Have it at 54% then…

hmm, seems like Pioneer and Bukit Gombak SMC may become walkovers since PSP not contesting, and no other opp parties announce they want to contest.
so PSP still want to contest Pioneer SMC. Seems like nobody want to contest Bukit Gombak
