Politics is really about survival of the fittest, maybe NSP can lay claims at Tampines GRC because they contest there for many elections but most of the results are between 25-35% with GE2011 being outlier of 42%, however they are not seen to be active in between elections so WP sees it as an opportunity to push them out as they need seats to cut PAP's supermajority
If you look at history, NSP results are from 20% to 38%/40%. 2011 was watershed, the GRCs they contested got 40%+

They were never strong

For short distance flights, one set of crew is sufficient. But to fly longer and further, airlines have augmented or 2 sets of crew.

After so many elections they aren't self aware that they have become irrelevant as a political party

Those newer parties like PV/PAR can still say they are new and need time to be establish

NSP can't say that 🙂

Yip and Kenn Sun are both very old. Still around? I think Yip was already pushing 50 when he first contested in the late 80s? So he should be at least in his mid 80s by now.
Wah liao these senile uncles still want to contest election for what?

INGAPORE – Prime Minister Lawrence Wong said on April 12 that the PAP has finalised its slate of candidates for the upcoming general election, which will be held at a time of great global uncertainty.

He revealed that the PAP will field more than 30 new candidates – the largest in recent history – in its 2025 slate.

They will be introduced, constituency by constituency, in the coming days.

“There is a gathering storm and we are flying straight into turbulence,” said PM Wong at a press conference where he announced his team for the Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC.

“In such conditions, who you have in the cockpit matters,” he said. “Singaporeans will have to decide on the team they trust to navigate the storm and chart the way forward for our nation.”

He added: “I take this responsibility seriously, because the stakes are high for ourselves and our families and for our future and for Singapore’s place in the world.”

Vesak long weekend, a lot of sinkies friday already leave the country liao, how to vote on Saturday?
No choice de. They can’t make exceptions just for people who wanna travel for holidays.
i was in Bangkok on polling day during the 2011 GE too. Although that year I wouldn’t get to vote anyway as Tanjong Pagar GRC was uncontested

I'm still going to vote for Opposition Party in my constituency. I see SG as a whole not by constituency because it is a tiny island.
