The phase ‘I hear you’ does not imply he understand or agree with you. Is just an acknowledgement.

does not necessary mean will will put any weight age to it.

action speaks louder than words.

Hearing is not same as listening.

Hearing is a passive, physiological process of perceiving sound through the ears, while listening is an active, cognitive process of understanding and interpreting sounds.

Hearing:

  • Definition: The physical process of perceiving sound waves through the ears.
  • Involuntary: You don't choose to hear; it's a natural function of your body.

    • Passive: You don't actively engage with the sound beyond its reception.
    • Example: You might hear birds chirping outside, but you're not necessarily paying attention.
Listening:
    • Definition: The process of actively paying attention to, understanding, and interpreting sounds.
  • Voluntary: You choose to listen, engaging your mind and attention.

    • Active: Requires focus and effort to comprehend the meaning of the sound.
    • Example: You are listening to a lecture, actively trying to understand and retain the information.

Hear and listen are definitely two different things. :s8:

Hear is a verb, meaning to listen to a sound. It can also mean gaining a message or information

Listen is a verb, meaning to give attention with the ear; attend closely for the purpose of hearing

https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...-message-to-young-sporeans-first-time-voters?

SINGAPORE - You have high standards for how life should be, you are not distracted or overly sensitive. You are paying attention.

This is Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s message to young Singaporeans and first-time voters posted on social media in a two-minute video released on April 13.

Rebutting online remarks featured in the video that Gen Zs are ‘soft’, ‘full of themselves’ and ‘lack resilience’, PM Wong said such comments miss the full picture and fail to see something crucial about the generation.

”Your generation embodies a new desire to not settle for the status quo and with the way the world is moving. We hear you. I hear you,” PM Wong.

”For many of you, this will be your first time voting, and it will be my first time standing for election for a chance to lead our nation.

“I take my role seriously. I want to be able to lead our country well.”

PM Wong added that he wants to work with the young to take on challenges to come, and he sees many things that should be improved.

:s14:
Being a parent of few kids, I am fearful for my next generation.
very fearful.
I will help myself to help them.
