anyone face issues with their 6gbps plan? Earlier i did mentioned of disconnections and it seems last night was a nightmare every few mins it would disconnect and reconnect on my lan. I was doing some light gaming and downloading from both my desktop and laptop when both happens so can't be my network card issue. Tried rebooting ONT and router and even tried a clean installation of windows on a spare hdd, still manage to detect such disconnections. Really can't figure out where went wrong. I've turned off all the firewalls on router and windows, now monitoring again. Any gurus have any advise or experience?

I also have intermittent Internet disconnection from M1 a few times a month. I do not really notice the Internet interruptions but my son who was playing online game and game chat is very sensitive to the broadband interruptions. I called M1 a few times, and every single time M1 has checked and said there was no issues with my M1 broadband line. I initially thought it was my router but I had changed my router a few times and interruptions still occurs. I am currently still on M1 1Gbps plan, not on M1 6Gbps plan yet. I was really thinking hard whether switching to Starhub 5Gbps plan when my M1 broadband plan is due for recontract this Sept. Please let me know if anyone of you has any Starhub 5Gbps broadband stability issues. Thanks in advance :)

hi all, i am on the M1 6GB plan and using the BE805 Router. First time using TP LINK and it is refreshing simple to set up compared to ASUS. there is even a VPN login tab for Surfshark in the Tether app!

the only wifi7 device i have is my Samsung S24 Ultra phone

i connected to the phone to the 6GHZ channel of the wifi and the speed test results are as follows:
DL - 3471
UL - 3217.

what settings can be made in the app to improve this further?

thx

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience... Mine also. When I am at home alone, be it a weekday or a weekend, really no incident. But whenever I am at home with the wife and she is streaming her shows or playing her games, I noticed the random disconnection too. Sometimes lasting a few minutes, sometimes just several seconds. Cannot explain this phenomenon coz my house both have wired and wireless devices. Usually occurs on Saturdays around 11am-ish or some random weekday.

I am also on my own custom DNS/ DoT (NextDNS dot io) and enabled ipv6. Router is Asus AX-86U Pro with Asus Merlin. So not sure whether is DNS downtime or ISP issue. My M1 is 1Gbps plan too.. Am still exploring, not in a hurry.

My mom's house I recently changed from M1 to Starhub 5Gbps plan.. On promo price so just try. So far so good, using their supplied router and modem. My youngest sis who is staying there also did not report any abnormalities or disconnection. You may refer to the Starhub promo thread for the special promo sign up link.

This is already very good. Nothing to improve further already, unless you want to get another phone based on MediaTek Dimensity 9400 or 9400+.

Hi All, i have just signed up to M1 6gbps plan with BE805 router. However, i am experiencing very poor WIFI 5g connection in my Master Bedroom which is roughly 10metres away (3 walls across 2 common bedrooms and living room) from the router that is placed in a DB Box Cabinet. I am exploring a ethernet backhaul solution as i have ethernet points in the master bed room and the common bedrooms. However i understand the ethernet patch lan cable that are wired in my project is using only cat6 lan cable (presumably only support up to 1gbps?). Can anyone help advise if i should get another BE805 to wiremesh pair up with my existing BE805 or i could get two BE230 (to place in master bedroom and the further common bedrooms) given 2 BE230 is cheaper and more compact and that ethernet lan connection probably support up to 1gbps max.
Thanks in advance!

CAT6A is fully qualified for 10Gbps. Even CAT6 is qualified for 10Gbps up to 55m which is fine for typical household.

As for mesh node, no problem to use two Archer BE230. One of them will be up to 2.5Gbps (connected to 10G LAN port of Archer BE805), the other will be up to 1Gbps (connected to 1G LAN port of Archer BE805.

seems i'm not the only one facing this issue. Same thing also, i called M1, they said they checked there was no problem. I also dunno what else i can try or do. As of now, can only continue to monitor. Pretty sure its not my ethernet card or anything. As said, I've done a clean installation of windows, latest drivers, even lan cable is a cat7 brand new cable. For now, i turn off all the firewalls on windows and router and monitoring. Any gurus have any ideas to test or anything?

I was on the 1gbps plan for a good 6 yrs before recently upgrading to their 3gbps plan. Never had any issues, although the only online multiplayer game I play is Helldivers 2. Most of the time, the disconnections I get are due to the host or game server problems.

If you have a spare router, try changing to it and monitor for a few days.

Not getting disconnected but lately facing very random spikes of 10 to 100ms to locally peered servers. No packet loss.

The spikes do not happen frequently enough for me to debug or grab proof to log tech support case so is somewhat frustrating but also not a big deal like last year's Arelion interconnect problem since not happening frequent.

Hopefully just a seasonal problem.

Just signed up for M1 6gbps. They arranged two separate dates, one is delivery(I assume router?), the other is for ONT installation. I opted for the 2x Asus BT10, will I be able to configure the routers first without the ONT so that once the ONT comes I can just plug in and everything works? It's for my new house so currently no internet there.

not sure if you sign up online. But if you do at the store, you'll collect the equipment on the spot to bring back first. 1st appt is by opennet, 2nd appt is the ONT & router installation by M1. You configure first or not also got to wait til 2nd appt so don't really see a diff. Anyway their installation is quite fast, about 10-15 mins to setup, they don't do any configurations for you

Yes I signed up online. I checked with M1, the first appointment is only delivery of my router. Second appointment is installation of ONT. Nothing about netlink coming down, I'm assuming it's because my current fiber termination point is unused so it's not necessary to activate the second link.

ONT and BE805 router just installed. 6G plan.

Testspeed using S25 Ultrashows 1.7/2.1Gbps UL/DL. Any way to tweak settings and get the max theoretical?

Also, technician showed wired speed using his laptop reaching nearly 6Gbps. So confirmed 10G port working.

But my desktop PC with 2.5G NIC card not connecting with 10G LAN, but OK with the 1G LAN. Too bad technician already left when I tried this. Anything I should check to make it work with the 10G LAN?

Kindly advise. Thank you.

After I enabled Jumbo Rate in NIC 2.5G, it works now but limits to max 1Gbps. Any suggestion what else I need to change in NIC advance settings? Thanks again experts.

The 10G port can auto negotiate to 1G, but it is not capable of 2.5G. You will either need to get a 10G NIC card or a router like starhub's EB810v that has dedicated 2.5G ports. Otherwise the best you can do is 1G with your current wired setup. Would advise you get a wifi 7 pci-e card for your PC instead.

Not exactly true. I believe the 10G port can go down to 2.5G/5G. I'm running a Cat7 Cable to my desktop 2.5G card and its working fine.
