克服健康危机后决意从政 滕沛源：一党独大局面须被抵制​

39岁的工人党准候选人滕沛源（Alexis Dang）去年经历了一场健康危机，“重生”后的她直言对人生有了全新的看法，决意站出来参选为国人服务，并希望有机会在国会成为那把不同的声音，抵制一党独大的局面。
滕沛源在接受《8视界新闻网》专访时透露，她在2016年见证了国会为修改民选总统制度修改宪法后，萌生了加入反对党工人党的想法。
“当时我觉得他们做的这个决定，未必可以完全的反映当时选民的一些想法。然后，我觉得执政党当时的那个权力有一点太大，宪法是一个国家的根本法，其实不应该这么轻易地被改变。”
她在2020年加入工人党后，先是陪同阿裕尼集选区的大选竞选团队进行家访，之后也参与阿裕尼集选区原议员严燕松的接见选民活动，协助记录个案。
由于滕沛源精通双语，她也会在党内帮忙翻译演讲稿、期刊，有时还会担任活动司仪。
她坦言，刚开始加入工人党时，完全没有想过有一天会站出来参选。
“我当时完全就是抱着一个觉得我们国会需要更多的声音，就是要有一个制衡的力量，而去参加这个义工的活动…… 我当时就是觉得说自己是做一个有意义的事情，然后可以帮助到更多的人，过程中我也觉得就是非常的开心，这其实就够了。”
滕沛源透露，第一次被邀请参选是在2023年。当时严燕松向她提出了有关参选事宜，但当时的她认为自己没那么优秀，且可能无法胜任候选人的角色，而拒绝了该提议。
