Faisal Manap to lead WP's Tampines GRC team?

WP potential candidates were seen proceeding to the nomination hall in two separate groups.

The group that is likely to be the party’s Aljunied GRC team comprises Pritam Singh, Sylvia Lim, Gerald Giam, former Marine Parade candidate Fadli Fawzi and new face Kenneth Tiong.

Here's where it gets interesting. Could former Aljunied GRC MP Muhamad Faisal Abdul Manap move to contest in the 5-member Tampines GRC? He was spotted in the second group, joined by new faces Michael Thng, Jimmy Tan Khim Teck, Ong Lue Ping and Eileen Chong Pei Shan.

Most Valuable Party candidate Chia Yun Kai has entered the nomination hall with Singapore Democratic Alliance chair Desmond Lim.

And Mr Chia is now sporting an SDA badge.

Has MVP teamed up with SDA, which originally started as a coalition? We'll find out in a bit.

SUP enters nomination centre

The SUP team contesting Ang Mo Kio GRC has entered Deyi Secondary School.

Leading the team is party secretary-general Andy Zhu.

“I contested at the same GRC the last election in 2020 … so I am back to continue my vision for the residents, and that’s why I’m back at Deyi Secondary School,” he told reporters in Mandarin.

WP's likely Aljunied GRC slate

WP chief Pritam Singh and incumbent Aljunied GRC MPs Gerald Giam and Sylvia Lim were seen walking into the hall together with lawyer Fadli Fawzi and new face Kenneth Tiong at Poi Ching School.

This is likely the party’s slate for Aljunied GRC, and could mean that incumbent Aljunied GRC MP Faisal Manap will be fielded in a different constituency. One likely destination is Tampines GRC.

This would also mean that WP’s Aljunied slate will remain largely intact, after initial speculation that both Mr Giam and Ms Lim could also have been sent to helm GRC teams elsewhere.

Poi Ching School is the nomination centre for Aljunied GRC, Tampines GRC, Hougang SMC and Tampines-Changkat SMC.

Yes they are pretty pro PAP historically because u can go ask around, many are 2nd timers…. All abandon slums like Punggol and Slumkang to move to satki mature estate Huan.

PAP's Teo Chee Hean not yet seen entering nomination centre

Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean has not been seen entering the Yusof Ishak Secondary School nomination centre yet.

He was earlier seen arriving at PAP’s Punggol West branch at about 10am with Senior Minister of State Janil Puthucheary, Minister of State Sun Xueling, Ms Yeo Wan Ling and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Indranee Rajah.

The school is the nomination centre for East Coast GRC, Pasir Ris-Changi GRC, Punggol GRC and Sengkang GRC.
