Potential walkover for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC

A potential walkover is on the cards for the five-member Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, as no Workers’ Party candidates have shown up to submit nomination papers yet.

While a few WP new face,s including Jeraldine Phneah and Linda Lo,w were spotted earlier, they appeared to have entered the nomination centre briefly before exiting the building.

Just to recap, PAP’s Manpower Minister Tan See Leng is not at this nomination centre. He's been seen at the nomination centre for Chua Chu Kang GRC.

Spotted were PAP’s Seah Kian Peng, Tin Pei Ling, Diana Pang, Faishal Ibrahim and new face Goh Pei Ming.

The former Marine Parade GRC has been touted as a key battleground ahead of the May 3 polls, with the PAP team edging out the WP with 57.74 per cent of the vote at the last General Election in 2020, lower than the 64.07 per cent it garnered in 2015.

PAP vs RDU in Nee Soon GRC

First on the noticeboard for Nee Soon GRC is Red Dot United’s line-up, led by party chief Ravi Philemon. The other candidates are RDU chairman David Foo, as well as first-timers Mr Pang Heng Chuan, Ms Sharon Lin and Dr Syed Alwi Ahmad.

They are taking on a largely new PAP team here - the only remaining member from the 2020 team is Law and Home Affairs Minister K Shanmugam. The other candidates are all first-timers - former MDDI director Goh Hanyan, ex-NMP Syed Harun Alhabsyi, Mr Jackson Lam and Ms Lee Hui Ying
