Why they cannot just go to blocks and visit? Set date and time like scheduling meeting, expect us to wait at home to greet her?

Read somewhere that grassdog leaders have to go in advance to filter out those homes that are less welcoming to the MP so that when the MP comes, they can chart a route that bypasses all of them and shows the MP a more positive sight, which reinforces his/her belief that they are doing a great job.
