Pricing is good.

But for those who do not have LAN ports in the rooms and have to use Wireless Backhaul, I strongly recommend you to give up on this plan. You will most likely regret later with the poor WiFi coverage or unstable WiFi.

Starhub may be less likely to entertain your request to change the Nokia ONR to ONT with this kind of special offer.

Just my personal opinion.

Can't seem to find any option to disable.
Have tried Auto for both channel and width, fixed channel + auto width, fixed channel fixed width, but didn't seem to help my issue
Edit to add: Band Steering is off. Did some more research and am going to try fixed 80Mhz on Ch149 to monitor if the issue persists. Maybe it is due to DFS since previously I had fixed at 160Mhz, and auto usually goes 160Mhz too.
You can try to set a fixed channel and try first. Eg Ch 40 for 5GHz.

Channel bandwidth should be not related to your issue.

This Nokia ONR is known to have network issue so better give up. I was using it earlier.

Like that you can not really enjoy the faster speed. Now i use EB810v is super fast.

HI everyone, also recently signup the 3Gbps plan with HB410. Do you all set the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz separately or combine 2.4G & 5Ghz. Which is better in term of connectivity? And most home use security camera/IP camera still need 2.4Ghz instead of 5Ghz

Also, will getting HB710 and mesh with HB410 get better speed and coverage for this 3Gbps plan as HB410 only 2.5g lan/wan?

- Normally, i would have one combined and one only for 2.4ghz. But, if your wireless is simply strong, you could just have dedicated 5ghz and 2.4ghz.
- it on your house layout and whether there is enough coverage. 5ghz generally gets weaken very easily by walls and objects, while 2.4ghz is able to reach out broader.
- there are still a lot of IoT, cameras, etc still only recognising 2.4ghz.

somehow my iphone 16 pro max only 700mbps download \ upload and laptops... xiaomi fones 200mbps.... hmmm...
Understand that some mobile the processor is not fast enough and the wifi adaptor also not so good. Usually for Laptop with power adaptor, you can get 1500 Mbps and for mobile phone is 900+ mbps.

best practice is to separate two networks...
meaning to say, disable band-steering

cater the 2.4Ghz for Smart Appliances such as IP Camera, Smart Vacuum, etc

cater the 5Ghz for End Devices such as Laptops, Smartphones...

Any reason for this recommendation? As far as I'm aware, if supported best to have a single SSID and allow your device to roam and decide which to connect to.

For IOT devices, if your access point supports it, create a seperate SSID, and put it on a seperate VLAN for better security so you have truly two seperate network.

if you put iot devices on a separate ssid (with same subnet), will your phone that controls those iot devices need to be in the same ssid as the iot devices ? means have to switch back and forth ?

Suggestion is to use a different VLAN and different subnet to have isolation. Your router can route between the subnets, so no need to switch back and forth?
