The night is off to a good start for the PAP, with the first sample count results for three SMCs indicating a swing towards the ruling party this election.

PAP's new face in Potong Pasir Alex Yeo is projected to secure 71 per cent of the votes, a swing of more than 10 percentage points compared to GE2020.

Against SDP veteran Paul Tambyah in Bukit Panjang, the PAP's Liang Eng Hwa looks set to take the SMC with 62 per cent of the vote in the sample count, while in Pioneer SMC Patrick Tay looks to take the single seat with nearly two-thirds of valid votes cast.
