My TCL 49 inch is already 5 years old. Hopefully it can last like my LG 65 inch tv that last 8 years. Now very slow in loading the video streaming apps.

I got my TV back and guess what... am having same issues again.
The "repair" took about 2 weeks and i was without a tv.
I just got my TV back yesterday. Almost a month with no TV and no replacement set. Many horror stories have been shared with me regarding about TCL. I considered myself to be lucky, as there are some that the TVs are sent back on a regular basis. I hope this will be my last post here.

Like i said i didn't regret because is a cheap tv... is like buying a china car and expect it to break down frequently.

Actually true, Prism+ the warranty and CS is topnotch but having used Philips in the past, I would still avoid Prism+. Terrible QC

Hisense, Toshiba = Made by Hisense
Xiaomi = Made by Dixon Tech (India)
Prism+, Philips = Made by Skyworth
TCL, Panasonic = Made by TCL

Hi all, my TV that came back from servicing. Having same issues again. Turn on the TV, screen is on, then the screen goes black and blank, but have TV sound that the cursor is moving. Waiting for TCL's reply.

Here is my chat with them... So those thinking of TCL, is really a tough gamble. Almost 2 months no TV.

Don't buy TCL TV. Previously only 1 year Warranty. Bought 1 55" last time. Screen issue after 6 months. They replaced a brand new one. Guess what after 6 months later spoilt again. Out of warranty. Throw it away. Will never touch TCL brand again.

Here is an update. Yesterday 21st May 25 "repair" man came down dismantled the TV, took out the casing to check the motherboard and ribbons. Picture taken, will share another time. He said he is unable to repair on the spot and will take a few days.

After looking at my prism at the office that costs less than $500 and working well for 2 years... Trying TCL is a really stupid idea.

Hi everyone, this is my journey with TCL so far.
My TV was returned yesterday by a tv "repairer" he said issue with the power.
Today at about 5pm. I just msged TCL on whatsapp that i am having the same issue again.

Do note I have not been watching TV since end march. It is officially 2 months nothing has been fixed.

I bought my TCL tv in Sep 24 and problem occurred in Mar 25. Relatively young tv, like i said that i did not regret because is a cheap C655.
I could have gone for a cheaper Prism which honestly for a 2 year old Q43, which it has no issues nor slowing down.

Unable to upload a pic, but here is the link if u like to see the chat.

Probably I'm lucky or older batches are better in QC. 3 units of 65 inch TCL C715 QLED export sets (without local warranty) bought during sale still operating fine after 3.5 years. Touch wood see how long more before they die lol.

Hi guys, the TCL arranged someone to come to my place to "repair" the TV at about 12pm today 30th May.
Let's see if the issue is fixed for real. I have informed that I have not watch TV in more than 2 months and their reply was only sorry, no replacement, no stand-in, nothing.

Let's see how it goes.

I bought the TCL looking at the reviews... they were actually past reviews... really old ones. Perhaps the newer ones QC not as good as old.
Why do i say this, building a tv is like a train moving from station to station... so in the beginning if the TV is good, people will recommend and since the building model is in place, they cut the QC portion to save on production cost over time expecting that quality will still be the same...

Like cars today do not last as long as cars of the yester years.
Engineering marketing will say, they lighten the car for better efficiency, thing is where did you lighten? They are shaving metal and weight off everything.
Gearbox issue is a problem in the last 10 years including today. You never hear gearbox failing from cars build in the 90s.

HELP!!! older TV 65C6US Firmware needed!

Hi everyone. My older TCL decided to throw tantrum. Turn on can see the TCL red logo as it's booting then when the Android OS is supposed to be up and running, only have sound but no picture. I want to try see if the TV can be revived by reloading the firmware but I cannot find the firmware online anymore.

Does anyone happen to have a firmware that I could use for this 65C6US?

many thanks!
