No money to sack and compensate him. Just have to stick with him until they sell players to have the money to sack him.
I think you have explained exactly what is happening. Amorim is taking all the blame for the worst ever performance and not blaming the players, hoping to get the sack quickly. To get the money, Amorim cannot resign.

But Ratcliffe does not want to spend anymore money for a new coach. So it would be Ratcliffe's fault and not Amorim's if MU is relegated.

What a small team mentality club! Amorim is right, Manu culture is not right lol
ManU culture is completely right where it should be.
Has always been that way. The fans have always been small minded. Sore losers. Will never admit other team player better.

Arteta would be the perfect coach for ManU actually.

Amorim only got himself to blame for a wearing a hat too big for his head by joining a sinking ship and deluded himself thinking he can do better than ETH and be the next ferguson and get demigod status. It is too late for him to cry over spilt milk but to resign by end of the season to rebuilt his tarnished career elsewhere.

As much as i hate man utd fans, arsenal fans are always a next level. Its just different. All the top teams fans can be insufferable, but arsenal ones are just built different.

To get sacked by MU as a coach is usually a great blessing as it simply means you get the money without needing to do the work. It is all in the contract.
Amorim is hoping to get sacked, even telling the club that he is not their man, but Ratcliffe rather see the club gets relegated than pay millions to hire another coach.

The staggering amount Man United shelled out to sack Erik ten Hag and Dan Ashworth in costly divorces for under-fire Ineos

Jose Mourinho's Manchester United dismissal cost club £19.6m in compensation
