But u still need a credit card Just in case.

some countries for tax rebate refund need credit card not debit card.
if you choose cash refunds. They will charge additional admin fees.

For Revolut, I can top up my virtual debit card without even linking it to my bank account (safety first) and use it for MRT, supermarket or anywhere that accepts card payment and I can withdraw funds out from my Revolut anytime to my DBS bank instantly. On top of that, I can use my Revolut in JB, Thailand too and the conversion rate is even better than money changers.

I would like to know if YouTrip or Wise can do the same because I would like to explore more options?

YouTrip is a wallet concept. can top up and using PayNow. then can convert to other currency wallet anytime for storage. then can w/d overseas.

(Downsides)
1) I think cannot use in spore atm for withdrawal.
2) is a Mastercard, cannot use on CW buses which accepts only Visa

I am going travel soon, want to get another debit card as back up.

Any recommendations? Thank you.
I had bad experience with Trust, so i boycotted them (refused to entertain my chargeback request after i got scammed, would not even file the case for me - goods received not as advertised). Use Revolut as a Youtrip alternative.

Some people are still very hesitant to move from Youtrip / Revolut even when Trust have the 1% cashback, no idea why.

Trust is a bank, while the others are not.

Trust also got debit card if I am not wrong.
