In sg, is adult fare the same when u use ezlink or credit card? In some countries, citizens pay less using their form of ezlink.

oh i see. have to link it first.

i was told by the ticket office that overseas cc cannot
There's no need to link anything to enjoy the transfer discount. I'm just suggesting he can check if the discount is being applied since he already linked it.

Not necessarily. He/she/it mentioned overseas CC. So let’s say it’s from a bank not in Singapore and issued from overseas, maybe no rebates?

Example. Would a Maybank credit card issued from a bank in Malaysia (not Maybank Singapore) get the transfer rebate? Or some American Express cards issued from USA?

I went to the counter before with someone from overseas to ask about it. Was told no transfer discounts if he uses cc.

Wah this one need to ask Transit Link to clarify, there's no such exception stated any where on their website.
Btw it's probably best for your friend not to use his/her foreign credit card since there is a daily $0.60 surcharge plus whatever other fcy fees levied by the foreign bank.

What’s the “certain cc” without minimum spend requirements?
certain credit card gives out rebates when the monthly spending meets certain minimum amount…
go read their t&c to decide which gives you the best rebates…
of course, if you dun often take public transport like myself, then dun bother…
