Our Joven heater is now causing the circuit breaker to trip every time we try to turn it on. Purchased in March 2023, i think its just past the 2 year warranty period.

Is this something that can be fixed if we call a technician? Or do we need to buy a brand new one? If we need to buy, can anyone recommend a reliable brand? A water heater should not be breaking 2 years after we purchased it...

2 years still quite new.
Probably during installation, certain wire did not screwed in properly.
Where to find a technician to repair? The joven service center is not open today. And how much should it cost?

I once fixed my own water heater, union burned. Just get one from my work place and fixed it myself.
Not straightforward problem type, better engage electrician

Most likely heater element shorted and resistance is too low, or heater element insulation burnt and current now leaks to earth. Points to low quality of heater element used in Joven heater.
Even in instant water heaters, the elements don't fail this early.

If the heater element didn't fail, then there could be corrosion in the electrical wiring or terminals leading to live/neutral wires have a short to ground.

Could be internal leaking. Better get it fix as heater current is strong enough to kill a person.

I dont buy Joven. Champs or even Europace is good. Use over 12+ years no issue until I have to replace due to reno.
