Overwhelmed?

Mai Lai lah, she was in the army before, cannot be this kind of small thing will be overwhelmed

Females in saf are highly protected. Mindef cannot risk any kind accusation of abuse ill-treatment or harassment of any kind, they get a free pass in anything.

Simple, better mileage for public institutions, get tom dick or harry bizman no credibility.
then get this kind of quality..I wonder if the politicians need reminder that they are serving the ppl and not vice versa.. or maybe it's a former saf thing

Very ugly. For PR she should invite the uncle for a meal today to apologize

Sun should be happy. Gan was a strong competitor

Quoted"
Ms Gan said she was thankful for the invite to the festival and the warm welcome, and that she has requested the organiser to convey her apologies to the man in the red shirt as she is currently overseas.
"
She is currently overseas so need to wait for her to come back then she can organize an apology meal.

I don't think her excuse makes any sense at all. Even if she was looking for the organizer after getting out of her car, how can she not see the uncle standing right in front of her with hand stretched out ? not like asking her to stop and chat with him, give him 1 cursory limp handshake will take how long, 0.5 sec ?

More likely than not she definitely saw him but decided he was a nobody and tried to skip him. Typical SAF pattern, very title and hierarchy conscious

What other excuse can she give?

"Speaking to The Straits Times on June 8, Ms Gan, who is the MP for Marymount SMC, said the incident happened on May 17."

“I was also a little overwhelmed by the big group that received me when I got out of my car. I sincerely apologise to the man in the red shirt for the delay in shaking hands with him.”
Overwhelming acting blind more like it

Another Jo Teo?

I recall that she dropped a pile of pamphlets after someone asked her a tough question or something during the previous GE

The video when zoom in , see the redshirt uncle extend both hands to welcome her after close the door .but was rejected handhake 2 times.
The final time so call handshake is not even handshake. Is like touch n go .

I watched that video again. The uncle helped open her car door and was the 2nd person to greet her. Even common courtesy would dictate that you acknowledge his presence instead of pretending he is transparent

Just apologise and say it’s her oversight and will do better next time? instead of finding rubbish excuse that nobody will buy, and make her look worse trying to wriggle her way out
