Really never expect to encounter this in Japan. S$13.75 for this. As a matter of fact, I did clarify with the staff if they have given the correct order.

Was told by the Taiwanese, last time when visited them. They said Japanese chop many of their 神木 aka Sacred Tree (Chamaecyparis formosensis (Formosan cypress, Taiwan cypress, Taiwan red cypress; 紅檜/红桧 hóngguì, Taiwan pron. hóngkuài) is a species of Chamaecyparis, endemic to Taiwan. It is a slow-growing, but long-lived and ultimately large to very large coniferous tree growing to 55–60 m tall with a trunk up to 7 m in diameter. It is threatened by habitat loss and over-cutting for its valuable timber). bring them back to Japan to build temple because the timber is very tall and straight, mainly found in Alishan. So was wondering if this columns are the ones the Taiwanese said.
