Especially those shops in non-tourist places run by old folks, be prepared to be cut throat unless you can speak korean.

I also find those old man spitting disgusting.

live in Korea for a year already so go Japan.

Korean drinking culture also cannot tan han

Been twice to kr and few times jp

kr better for cosmetic and clothing. Both gd for shopping. Both gd food but more used to japanese cuisine

haven’t tried taking photographs on the streets in kr so dunno how they will react. Japan I can gauge better

language wise I can recognize the Hangul characters but dun understand much. Japanese can guess better as they mix some kanji. Both can speak english in the major cities so probably can get by

Koreans are less polite but they are not going to rob you, beat you up or cause a fuss or unhappiness like what happen in Malaysia recently so if some say rude it really isn’t anything major

I think my experience is most likely similar to everyone here

Don like japan. Cos don like sushi, raw fish , seafood etc. Japanese also many act very funny one. Restaurant, bar also got many funny rules to follow. They know English but choose to ignore foreigners

Both countries are quite similar but which country will you choose for your holiday? In terms of expenditure, the behaviour of the locals, hygiene level, change of temperature, transportation, language, etc

Actually to defend this, you have to live in Korea for sometime, they like to hike during the weekend , reach the top and have a small drink.
both for its beauty.
jeju is overcrowded by Chinese though. Sad situation

Itaewon is kind of dead after the incident. Lucky that I decide not to go to the party and stay in the dorm.
