China buys 40% of Iran oil. Iran is part of China's 一带一路 trade route. if Iran falls, USD will continue strength its linkage with oil.

of coz China will need to defend Iran.

China will not take over TW without a strong valid reason. Otherwise she'll be condemned by the international community. China wants to replace the US as the world leader so she needs to be well behaved.

Look at how the US attacked Afghanistan. You think just a bus-full of passengers in the US kena bombed to death is a good reason to launch an attack on Afghanistan? The iconic twin towers need to come down just for that.

Look at how Israel attacked Palestine. She needs to create something big in order to have a valid reason to wipe Palestine.

So China needs a large and justified reason to takeover TW. There are some red lines that TW cannot cross which Beijing dictates

What reason did China have to build a military base in the South China Seas and destroy the coral reefs and marine life there?
