Sometimes not about the price of things, but the value they bring to u. Space is a luxury not everyone has. Access to the nature would be the other.

Some overseas country tax is really too high. How to retire? Also no CPF.
My tax went up from $8400 a month now go $11,000 a month. This is corporate and income tax! Not even count GST.

Making $200k a year is not something every
sgp can do.

The best reason why so many foreigners are hungry to get Singapore passports is because of the accessibility to West and East world.

For example, a PRC holding a China passport will need to apply for visa when visiting many of the western countries. Due to the increased geopolitics tensions between China and the Western world, using a China passport to visit Western countries will subject to heavy scrutiny. Holding a Singapore passport is a hell lot of different treatment.

A Malaysian holding a Malaysia passport will subject to heavy scrutiny when visiting Israel while a Singapore passport saves the day.

These foreigners who gotten their Singapore passports are not patriotic to Singapore. Singapore government should not live in denial. They don't even sing our Singapore anthem and their hearts are always with their motherland. It is the value that the Singapore passport offers.

I think with more pressure in the Singapore system and schooling plus tuition and stress they would be better developed.

Singapore is a good system for children.

That’s the plan, but ideally Singapore 6 months, Australia 3 months, and Japan 3 months. So you would still qualify as Singapore Tax resident.

That's why don't give up SG citizenship. Just be a PR in a foreign land.

One of my friends is a PR in Australia, living there for more than 10 years. Lifestyle is so much better than Singapore.
