**Long-Term School Bullying and Death Threats—To Everyone Concerned About Student Safety**

I never imagined that one day I would have to seek justice for my daughter in this way.
This is not just about my child—it could happen to any child in any Singaporean family.

### **Background of the Incident**

On **July 24, 2025**, my daughter (9 years old, Primary 3 in a Singapore government school), who has always loved learning, excelled academically, and even received a government scholarship, came home from school emotionally devastated, crying and saying, *“Mom, I don’t want to go to school anymore.”*

After repeated questioning, she finally revealed that for nearly half a year, she had been relentlessly bullied by three boys in her class: they insulted, mocked, shoved her, destroyed her stationery, and erased her homework. She was also repeatedly subjected to racially discriminatory and deeply offensive slurs, including:

- *“******”*
- *“Shut up”*
- *“F*ck you”*
- *“Dumb ass”*
- *“****”*
- *“Qi bai”* (Hokkien for *“prostitute’s child”*)
- *“Stupid”*
- *“Bitch”*
- *“Shut up at your family’s grave”*

The immediate conflict that day (July 24) occurred when my daughter asked her classmates to quiet down in class, and two of them **hit her**.

### **The School’s Response**

Over the past few months, my daughter repeatedly reported the bullying to her teachers, but **no protective measures were taken**. The bullying began when she was suddenly moved to the **back corner of the classroom**—the spot farthest from the teacher and right next to the bullies—making her an easier target for verbal and physical abuse.

On the evening of July 24, I contacted the mother of one of the boys who hit my daughter to explain the situation.

The next day, the Form Teacher called to say that both sides were told to *“apologize to each other”* and claimed my daughter *“agreed not to change seats.”* However, when I checked with my daughter, she confirmed she was **forced** to agree, not willing.

### **Escalation to Death Threats**

On **July 26, 2025**, at around 4 AM, my family and I completed a detailed complaint letter and sent it to the school office and all relevant teachers.

Yet, just **three hours later**, at **7:07 AM**, I started receiving a barrage of harassing calls from different unknown numbers. The caller first confirmed I was *[daughter’s name]*’s mother (directly stating her full name), then sent multiple voice messages, including the following exact words:

> *“I might dissect her… I might dissect her into pieces like you. So which one do you want me to do? Dissect her? Or end her life in school? Choose one. Either don’t want one, I will kill you instead and your husband.”*

The threat came from **one of the alleged bullies**, who explicitly stated in the audio that this was **retaliation** for me reporting the incident to his friend’s mother.

### **Police and Follow-Up Actions**

I immediately **preserved all evidence** (phone numbers, original voice recordings, screen recordings), canceled my work commitments, and went with my husband to file a police report.

Even while at the police station giving my statement, I continued receiving harassing calls. After documenting all details and reviewing the evidence, the police advised us to **call immediately if any physical attack occurred**.

That same day, we formally submitted the incident (including the death threat recording and police report) to the school, the **Ministry of Education (MOE)**, and our **Member of Parliament (MP)** to ensure urgent attention and action.

### **Current Situation**

On **July 28, 2025**, after meeting with the school’s vice-principal, year head, and Form Teacher, they assured us they would handle the matter and take necessary measures. **We trusted them.**

However, on **August 1**, the same student who issued the death threat **attempted to attack my daughter again in school**. The school claimed they were unaware—we only found out by asking our child. We emailed the school expressing our concerns, as the retaliation was ongoing. **Unfortunately, the school did not reply.**

On **August 6 and 7**, my daughter was **attacked three more times** by the same student—all successful. Yet, **all teachers claimed ignorance**, saying my daughter should have reported it herself.

Now, my child is **too terrified to return to school** and has missed **four consecutive days**. She is currently receiving **professional psychological support**.

As of today, **MOE’s only response has been**:
> *“We have shared your email with our officer for their follow-up and they will be responding to you. We seek your understanding and patience should we take slightly longer to reply if more time is needed to look into the issue(s) you have raised.”*

Similarly, the **MP’s response was**:
> *“I understand the distress you and the family are going through. I have already sent the appeal and request to MOE when you first surfaced the request for assistance. I understand that you have alerted the authorities, including the School's leaders and Police, to the alleged bullying of your daughter. The agencies are looking into your daughter's situation and will work with you to address and resolve the issues. We will monitor and assist.”*

After living in Singapore for **16 years**, I never expected this. But since my daughter was bullied, the information I’ve found is horrifying. I’m in this group because my child is also a *“Monkey Baby”* (born in the Year of the Monkey). For the past two weeks, our family has been unable to live normally—our child is in constant fear. **All we want is for things to return to normal, for her to study in a safe environment. That’s it.**

Punish by caning. Ask parent come and cane student in public and let student and parent lose face in public
maybe MOE request all skool to report bullying cases. skool have own agenda and they dont want to be in MOE watchlist so they will try to cover up and let the bullying fester and avoid punishment... that's what I believe

I might dissect her into pieces like you. So which one do you want me to do? Dissect her? Or end her life in school? Choose one. Either don’t want one, I will kill you instead and your husband.” 该威胁来自其中一名涉嫌霸凌学生,他在语音中明确表示这是对我之前联系他朋友的妈妈投诉我女儿被打的事,因此来找我报复。

thats why it is important that your kid go to good school.
