Why people enjoy driving despite the high COE prices?

Every morning I listen to radio it’s always accident and breakdown everywhere. Why still drive?

I own a car. My wife drives me to work and we rarely go on the expressway. Our mileage about 4,500 km a year….

how do you define if COE price is high?

what if the people buying and driving are actually okay with paying COE for the privilege to drive?

From my perspective, simply faster and more productive if you need to make multiple trips across Singapore daily.

If it's just to and fro home to office, save the money. Cheaper to take grab and rent getgo occasionally.

Because when you have a family, your grocery is easily 4 NTUC plastic bags, any time you walk inside a supermarket.

Rice isn't exactly light. So are soya sauce bottles. You think toilet paper is light? Try buying those 3 dozen in a pack kind. Bulky.

I was just talking to my GP yesterday. He told me he himself has 2 cars. Havent count his wife's.

Crazy this kind of question.

In other countries you can just afford a car and a car is simply just a tool for transportation.

Yet in sg there's no choice but to fork out high amounts for it, and there's no substitute.

Public transport is not a substitute
