KUALA LUMPUR: A weak earthquake struck Johor early this morning, with tremors felt across several states in the peninsula.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said on a Facebook post that the 4.1-magnitude quake occurred at 6.13am today, 5km west of Segamat, Johor, at a depth of 10km.

Tremors were reported in many areas of Johor, as well as parts of Negri Sembilan, Melaka and southern Pahang.

No joke, never happen before right?

In a notable historical incident, Johor experienced two earthquakes in early 1922. The first occurred on Jan 31, 1922, registering a magnitude of 5.4.

This was followed closely by a second quake on Feb 7, 1922, with a magnitude of 5.0. Both of these events had their magnitudes derived from the distribution of shaking intensity observed.

Is Msia rdy for earthquakes lol

don't be evil.
it's as if you gain anything from people's disaster.

If it can happen in Johor, we should start worrying about whether we can recover from a earthquake.
for all we know, it might be fracture in the land beneath johor/singapore area.

you know property prices will plummet if it jhappens. the pricing will never the same again.
