Most doctors just follow textbook, this illness gives this medicine. Doubt they will really go and find out if any medicine is really good for patients or not :o
Most good doctors agree that metabolic health is the key determinant, with insulin resistance and HDL levels showing stronger links to outcomes than LDL or even ApoB. Insulin resistance is typically linked to reduced levels of HDL (‘good’) cholesterol.

Nothing wrong with borderline high cholesterol, some ppl naturally produce more on their own. Anws the thresholds were set by big Pharma decades ago to maximise profits have not been been revised to align with latest research.

doctors esp in SG love prescribing statins once ur levels cross these imaginary boundaries the slightest cuz they receive substantial kickbacks from pharma reps

Most doctors today are little more than brain dead agents of big Pharma working strictly within the protocols and frameworks set by those corporate entities

Even if you bring the horses to the water they still won't drink. They prefer to be fed. People don't want to do their own research and challenge the efficacy of any particular drug or treatment with their doctor. They believe all doctors are well trained and know the latest applied science.

https://www.nad.com/news/self-procl...erests-are-distorting-evidence-behind-statins

YouTube has provided doctors who has voices drowned by big pharma a chance to spread their research and allow the layman to have better access to impartial info. Even well known articles and schools are backed by big pharma. No Pharma will back anything with no profits (especially studies that refute their claims) and they do not need to publish their own "bad" studies.

But then again , most don't watch or even read from a wide perspective (not headline news) but just think their doctor is right or they know everything without laying out all the information - good or bad.

Did you watch any videos / articles to make a judgement or your mind was already clouded ?
Means see doctor no use? Damn, wasted so much of my money. Should have go temple get talisman and burnt into water to drink better.

A KFC meal raises your risk of insulin resistance, lowers HDL, and over time can push you toward a heart attack, regardless of whether you’re taking statins.

"Good cholesterol" refers to High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol, which helps remove excess cholesterol from the bloodstream by transporting it to the liver for removal from the body. High HDL levels are associated with a lower risk of heart disease and stroke, as they prevent the buildup of plaque in blood vessels. You can boost your "good" cholesterol by exercising, eating a diet rich in healthy fats, fibre, and omega-3s, and avoiding smoking.

Foods to limit for high cholesterol are those high in saturated fats and trans fats. Key culprits include fatty meats and processed meats, full-fat dairy products, fried foods, and many commercially baked goods like cookies and pastries. Palm oil, coconut oil, and butter are also high in unhealthy fats. Reading food labels to avoid "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" is crucial, as this indicates the presence of trans fats.

Dr Nick Norwitz: Statins Significantly Reduce GLP-1 Levels, causing Diabetes!

https://youtu.be/6NomrgjK1yQ

Bosworth, M.D., is a South Dakota physician who was once enrolled in the Medicare program but no longer is. On May 27, 2015, she was convicted on six felony counts of offering a false or forged instrument for filing with the state.

Nick Norwit is not even a medical doctor yet... still completing med school. He is said to have phd in metabolism... whatever that is... he is a YouTuber known for keto diet advocacy. lol...

you know this is called selective bias right?

Jialat, I'm taking statin right now😌😌
Nothing jialat about. Do you trust your own doctor or some internet influencer quacks with their own agendas?

Everyone by some degree or another. Be it big pharma, internet influencers or the patients are blind men examining an elephant the size of an ocean liner and drawing their own conclusions.

GG to the guy examining the area under its tail.

The irony is that AI might be the saving grace for the community writ large - if it evolves to the point that it can see the big picture by taking into account and forming new links and conclusions after examining a massive amount of general data.

" Why egg yolk cannot eat when u have high cholesterol? " google ai ans:
While it's not a strict "cannot," you should limit egg yolks if you have high cholesterol, especially if you also have other risk factors like diabetes or heart disease, as yolks contain dietary cholesterol. Most people can enjoy eggs in moderation, but those at high risk should consider eating fewer yolks or opting for egg whites. A doctor or nutritionist can provide personalized advice on appropriate egg intake for your specific health situation.
