the COO and senior staff already clashed about work on many occasion. they part of business in a small company, and technically, the CEO expect them to work together as a team, supporting the overall business operation. so i think senior staff felt that the COO come in, should lighten her workload and vice versa.

something happened last week, and chibabom. so the chibabom carrys on today when the CEO try to manage it by sitting everyone down. they chibabom over disagreement of workload, and also during lunch (when it suppose to be a "he-hao" lunch).

what is the CEO doing about it... based on what you have shared, seems like the CEO is just burying his head in the sand

I was reading thru your stuff and somehow it seems your 'friend' (CEO) appears to plot to 'sack' the senior staff. All these feels like moves to corner the person.

Maybe your move too slow, bring more ppl in. Take a step back, maybe should also consider looking for other workplaces.

Cant sack senior staff one, just get someone new in then stir more

cos someone allow for such vibe to happen in office mean such behaviour is being tolerated and encouraged.
