According to the deceased's blog, Xu Na graduated from the National University of Singapore's Computer Science Department in 2001, obtained her master's degree from NUS in 2003, and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge in the UK in 2008.

She also worked as a scientific researcher at the French National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA) from 2009 to 2012.

Studied at Anglo-Chinese Junior College and Won National Chinese Essay Championship
During her time at Anglo-Chinese Junior College, Xu Na excelled academically and once won the national Chinese essay championship.

Online records show that Xu Na graduated from Anglo-Chinese Junior College in 1997 and was actively involved in the Chinese Society and Table Tennis Club during her school years. Shin Min Daily News managed to contact one of her former classmates. The classmate mentioned that they were not very close during their junior college years and lost contact after graduation.

The classmate also said that Xu Na was an outstanding student academically, which is why her former classmates were shocked upon hearing the news in their group chat.

Shin Min Daily News previously reported that Xu Na won first place in the Group A (Junior College category) of the National Secondary School On-the-Spot Chinese Writing Competition in 1997.

Xu Na Could be an adopted child since they say the uncle dont have marriage record? I could be wrong. Anyway the lady got PR, means.... well she has the rights to be in SGP for good legitimate reasons, maybe she was healthy and well last time... met with painful unfortunate sickness

The newspaper reported whole family comes from northeast china .
I hope that people learn from this incident.
Perhaps rich but no further offsprings.
All the money and house goes to who ? ( Government or NOK )
So there is lesser need to work so hard .

Now today's Shin Min said that their whole family came from North-eastern China. The parents were researchers; the daughter had a PhD.

Quite a different picture from what was reported days before. Or the reporters did not paint the full picture/made some omissions, or simply lousy reporting ...?

Ya exactly I remember last month also had some funny cases that don't make sense because the reports were so incompetent.

Including the nasi biryani scam case, the stall's menu clearly states their biryani is sold at about 7 bucks but thy report it was sold at 11 without explaining why. Then ppl kan the biryani owner for selling very expensive instead. Nor explain how the scam works and ppl kan the biryani owners for making it up and creating publicity.
